I really want to recommend it to tourists visiting Firenze. I made a reservation on the official website, and it was relatively affordable because you can stay for one more night if you stay more than three nights. And we got a free room upgrade upon arrival, and during the stay, we felt great with the warm reception. The breakfast at the hotel was satisfactory, and the view of the hotel and terrace was good because it was located by the river.
The location of the accommodation was so good that I was able to save a lot of energy while touring around (right in front of the Vecchio Bridge).

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel itself is impeccable, private, and even assuming from the street. You kind of have to know it's there which is great. The location right on top of the Ponte Vecchio is perfect. We were in walking distance from everything in the city, and only took a taxi when it was raining. The team there was very accommodating and helpful - don't think I carried a single piece of luggage, and the room was always in perfect shape. Could not recommend this place enough. Hotels in Florence are already on the higher price side, so this one is worth every penny.

This was the best stay, not only in Florence but in Italy! The service alone was amazing! You can tell they take pride in this. They are so attentive to all the small details and make you feel so welcome every time you walk in the door. The check in concierge was amazing and wanted you in comfort and at ease right away. The porter took our bags to our room while we were waiting and always opened the doors for you, offered you an umbrella or drink every time he saw you and offered to call our taxi when we left.
The room was a 2 story Room with a balcony overlooking the river! It was stunning and the housekeeping staff was always in top of everything and the turndown service left the room with a lovely romantic ambience.
The location was prime! Right outside the door is the Ponte Vecchio bridge with all the shops and evening street entertainment. It was a 15-30 min walk to almost all points of interest.
We traveled from Rome to Florence to Venice and although the other hotels were very nice, Continentale set the bar so high that I am almost disappointed with the rest.
I wouldn't consider a different hotel if and when we return to Florence.

My stay at Hotel Continentale was wonderful. I arrived in Florence already somewhat tired after two weeks traveling through Vancouver, New York, Lake Como, Verona and Milan. And I felt arriving at an oasis of peace amid the chaos of central Florence. The location is unmatched within walking distance of all the centers of interest. The hotel is small but very nice. They have a truly beautiful and quiet relaxing area. The Terrace is spectacular and you can access it as a guest at any time. Breakfast is taken at the hotel across the street, which is the hotel of the same chain, and is very delicious, but I would appreciate it if you had more options for vegans at breakfast and on your menu in general. and some simple hot dishes at breakfast would be highly valued. That's my only suggestion, but it wasn't a problem.
The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and warm. They do literally EVERYTHING in their power to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and to help you in any way they can; particularly Alison, always with a smile and ready to see how she can support you. Alison really listened to my needs and gives me the most viable solution. I had booked a single room but felt very small for the number of bags I was carrying, and to rest my last days in Europe and she helped me with an upgrade and offered me a reasonable cost. That was wonderful.Luca helped me by scheduling my taxi to the airport as my flight was leaving in the early morning and gave me a box breakfast which was a great help detail. Roberto and Luciana will also support me in my doubts or requests.
I would definitely stay there again.
Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Continentale for their hospitality and warmth.

Such a nice hotel! Very friendly and helpful people. Our room, which was a junior suite was quiet, comfortable and overlooked the river Arno. We were two friends sharing so I asked in advance for twin beds, which they do provided. They were large and extremely comfortable. The room had nice lighting and was kind of understated elegant in style. Decent shower and a good size bathroom, the sink was in a adjacent lobby area which is great if there’s two of you. There was an appropriate magnifying mirror on the wall above the sink, though if you’re a woman who wears make-up, I would still recommend bringing a mirror yourself so that you can make up in natural light. There is a sufficiently powerful hairdryer, actual wooden detachable coat hangers. They have both robes and disposable slippers. I would say the amenities kit is a little on the scarce side so you might want to bring more Cotton wall pads and Q-tips et cetera. Housekeeping was a little bit mean-spirited in that they didn’t give us replacement amenity kits, we had to ask for them, and for extra towels as they only provided one large bath sheet, 1 face cloth & 1 hand towel per day No towel for wet hair! Breakfast was extremely enjoyable with very good coffee & a decent selection of food although not much way in the way of fresh fruit. The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly, helped us book restaurants, etc. it was my birthday while I was there and they left a little paper Duomo filled with biscotti in the room, and a bottle of fizz- so thoughtful! On leaving they were very good about my friendly feedback on certain elements which I always think is a sign of a good business. Goes without saying the location is absolutely superb. You can walk pretty much anywhere from this hotel within 15 or 20 minutes. The rooftop terrace – which closes at the end of October I think – was absolutely lovely and well worth popping into even if you don’t have a drink. I’m pretty picky customer and I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here. It’s not superduper fancy – but it is very special and relaxed which is my preferred hotel mode!

In March this year I was fortunate to have chosen Hotel Continentale while visiting Florence. The hotel is not a Four Seasons nor Ritz Carlton, but its service standard is totally up to par with the market’s big players. The entrance and the reception area are typical European boutique hotel style, small but cozy. We were greeted upon arrival by the ever-cheerful Ashraf, who helped us with luggage and offered us coffee and espresso while the delightful and jolly Alison assisted us with room assignments. We were assigned to two pleasantly designed and spacious rooms with a balcony that offers a pleasant partial view over the Arno, and were pleased to find the bathrooms were stocked with Ferragamo toiletries. During our stay Cristina of the front desk had given us useful information about the city and various transportation tips resourcefully, while the gentlemanly Leonardo assisted us with whatever he thought we might require, from ordering taxi to restaurant recommendations. In a certain evening Leonardo showed me to the hotel’s roof bar (which was closed during winter) that has a magnificent view of the river and the city’s landscape. Leonardo patiently and enthusiastically pointed to me the beautiful San Miniato al Monte and the Piazzale Michelangelo on the other side of the river, the orange dome of the Florence Cathedral that bathed silently in the gentle twilight flame, the Giotto’s Bell Tower next to it, and further away the unmistakably grandiose structure of the Basilica di Santa Croce. For breakfast, it was served inside a pleasantly designed restaurant opposite the hotel. The buffet breakfast is not as sumptuous as a Bangkok 5-star, yet the selections are decent and comprehensive, and the pastries are particularly good. Upon checking out, it was Roberto who assisted us with the luggage and taxi, like Ashraf and Leonardo, he was another pleasant staff of the hotel. Lastly, I must congratulate the hotel’s general manager, whoever you are, you and your management team must have done a wonderful job in leading and running the hotel, your efforts have certainly paid off.

Marvelous staff who made us feel welcome and were very helpful. Special thanks to Sara and Luca for their assistance. We enjoyed a comfortable, large room with plush towels and nice toiletries (becoming rare these days) and the location just off the Ponte Vecchio is perfect! We came in 1998 for our 25th anniversary and returned for our 50th. The rooftop terrace is now a bar (was the place for both breakfast and aperitifs in the past), but still has the great view of the Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Boboli Gardens and Arno. We'll come back sooner!

A sweet boutique hotel. We wanted to draw our booking a day ahead. They helped.
From city view room to canal view rooms, the rooms were very small.
The minibar is empty.
We booked a room with a balcony, but no balcony exit made sense.
Amazing with canal and bridge views, this hotel has lost 1 point for balcony detail.
There was no coffee maker.
The decadent fruit and champagne made me happy.
Getting to the hotel is easy. Florence’s narrow winding streets make navigation a bit challenging.
The hotel has contracted paid parking, and the valet brings 4 mins. If you don’t rent a car, you can also take a taxi. But there’s no need to drive too close to anywhere.
Breakfast is at another hotel right across. The breakfast was diverse and delicious.
There’s a bar on the rooftop with a great view, but hotel guests aren’t priority. They don’t get without reservations
The hotel has a spa
Quiet hotel and very polite staff

It was the most wonderful hotel.
The staff, from the receptionist to the cleaning staff, were unparalleled in their hospitality, which I have never felt in any other hotel.
The rooms are also very romantic and I would especially recommend it for couples.
I also appreciated the fact that the rooms were cleaned several times a day.
I would also recommend a visit to the rooftop bar.
The room rates are not cheap, so if you prefer a more economical hotel, I would recommend other alternatives.
Also, while it has a great location right in front of Ponte Vecchio, you can hear noises outside until midnight, so if you prefer perfect silence, this may not be the place for you. We didn't mind it that much.
Overall, I would rate this hotel as the best hotel in terms of staff, service, rooms and location.

The room is quite small but also lovely, with a sheer white canopy above the bed, and neutral wood and leather furniture. There is ample closet & drawer space. The shower is very good. And the place was spotless.
The bathroom had one defect: there was no dry place to put your towel near the shower so it would be readily available when you got out.
Staff was very courteous and prompt. The rooftop bar was unfortunately officially closed for the season.
The room service menu was extremely limited. The buffet breakfast is also extremely limited. But everything was very good.
The WiFi was quite inconsistent. Sometimes perfect, other times really hinky.
The location is wonderful, beside the Ponte Vecchio and central to everything. You can walk anywhere. Shops, cafes, restaurants, pharmacies are all very nearby.
We had some issues w housekeeping. They were very solicitous about it afterwards. They clearly value being a good hotel.
