Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Quiet. The temperature in the room was fine. It was not cold at all. Warm and cosy. The room was big and the bed too.The building is old but I liked it. It has the smell of vintage. I will go again. The breakfast is fine. It is near to the old town. You can go... More

This hotel is dirty and unkempt! It is in real need of updating and a complete overhaul!! Needs more staff and better trained!! Nothing as advertised is true! The pool was dirty and not used. The rooms were not clean! The food was menial and not freshly cooked and snacks were stale bread with ham and cheese! Would not stay... More

We just returned from a lovely few days at the hotel carlotte, the weather a little too warm for us, perhaps later in the season would have been better. The rooms are air conditioned so no problem once we were in our room. The staff are helpful and do their best with so many nationalities. The breakfast is basic but... More

This hotel is ideally located when visiting Florence by car. Private car park available on a 1st come 1st served basis. Only 15 minutes walk into Florence centre which is ideal. Staff very helpful and pleasant especially Angela at the front desk, and Mohamed on general duties. Rooms somewhat on the small side and in desperate need of a big... More

Having just stayed in a 2* B&B in Rome I was excited to indulge in our 4* Florence stay. In comparison we had so much more space which was great and a pool. In general the decor and furniture is a bit tired and old fashioned. I felt the place was understaffed - one chap at breakfast to refill the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Florence. It was in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but near enough that you could catch a bus and be in the centre in 10 minutes. The room was quite comfortable with a king size bed, a free safe, flatscreen tv, good wifi connection and... More

Reading some recent reviews had us concerned but our 3 night stay was perfect. Lovely cool room, very comfy bed, breakfast was ample, staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean. A £10 taxi ride to city. Pool clean and well maintained. A late evening request for food was enthusiastically accepted and a quality plate of meats, cheeses, salad and panini... More

I booked this hotel for our trip to Florence for the convenient location, and that it specified that the rooms had air conditioning, which is a must for my husband's heat induced asthma issues. When we arrived the entrance from the street was not well marked and we passed it by and were not sure where to park. We went... More

Dear Madame, We are very sorry for what is happened; Thank you for your review which will surely be the starting point to eliminate immediately all those problems that have occurred and will definitely be a reason to reproach the "temporary staff" that we had last week, which was not able to solve all immediately its problems. I assure you... More

This is a very tired looking hotel but it is well situated close to the Porta Romana. The website picture shows the original Villa but we were in an annexe on the first floor. The décor is art deco (coloured glass and rather tacky looking chandeliers with several bulbs missing.) We had a really tiny room with an even tinier... More
