Lovely family run hotel, very clean and staff extremely pleasant and attentive to our needs. Only 10 minutes from station, and great central location for all sites. Was nice to be able to come back for a rest before venturing out again each evening. I would certainly recommend

Just back from three nights here. As most people have said, nice, friendly, helpful Staff, clean functional rooms, and breakfast was good enough for us. 10 minute walk from station, if you plan in advance very easy to find close to river so very easy to get your bearings. Only noise was from returning tourists, would be useful if the...

I really liked this family run hotel. It has its reception on the second floor which you reach by a very old fashioned lift. The room was clean with what looked like antique furniture and a nice clean bathroom. It was convenient for all of the sights.

We checked in here today and the staff are very helpful and friendly. However, there is far too much noise coming from the reception area which can be heard from the rooms. The conversations are loud and sound like arguments. This is ok during the day as most people are out and about, but not acceptable at night.

Lovely vintage hotel almost on the river two bridges up from the ponte vecchio bridge. Large rooms large en-site . Room could do with a coat of paint but didn't spend much time in it so wasn't too fused. Staff all helpful with how to get places and good places to eat. Breakfast usual continental and plenty of it. Great...

The hotel is pretty good for location and service. Very attentive staff. Quick registration. The hotel has no parking spots in the street, in front of the hotel, offered on first come-first served basis. The rooms are large enough, clean, furniture in good condition. Breakfast acceptable. Location is good, very close to all the main objectives that can be visited...

We stayed two nights here, and loved that it was very central to everywhere we wanted to go. Didn't need a cab, everything was walking distance. The hotel is very old and vintage, but very clean. Would stay here again 👍🏼

If you are looking for an affordable hotel that is within walking distance of most everything then please check out the Hotel Goldoni! Quiet, clean rooms and an adequate continental breakfast. The staff during the daytime hours speak English and were very helpful in getting taxi's to the airport, laundry and recommendations. The hotel is on the 2nd floor but...

I have visited the hotel on October 5, 2016. The location of the hotel is too good, in the heart of the city and very close to train station. This was the best part, which I like the most. Going to any place from here was very convenient. Bathroom size was relatively very small, but nicely maintained. Overall I like...

Definitely a 3 star hotel but clean rooms that have been recently redone. They have an elevators which is nice after a long day. Continental breakfast was good. Booked on Expedia and did not get the roll away but if you ask and only if you insist they will accommodate for $25 as listed on Expedia. It is 1 block...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
