The hotel is perfect located for a sightseeing trip in Florence. The hotel isn't new but clean. The breakfast was small but enough. The employees of the hotel were so nice and helpful! My mum and I felt very comfortable and we would come back without any doubt. Grazie e rivedere!

i stayed recently for 3 nights at the Gioia while on a short break with a friend to Florence. Before travelling we emailed the hotel and they sent us walking directions (about 15 mins) from the bus/traIn stations which was very helpful. This hotel is really homely and pristinely clean. Some might call the decor a bit dated but I...

Stayed in this hotel for three nights the location was great just up the road from the duomo. It was. It was not far from the train station either. The hotel was dated and breakfast was very basic but good value for money, clean and the staff were very friendly. It had air con which was a bonus and a...

20 minutes from the train station. Lots of stairs, but there is a lift and we used it many times. Breakfast was not good, American coffee was awful, nut capo chino was better. Smelly room, tiny shower, small soap. Bad air conditioner-- we froze or sweated every night. Noise throughout night-- many drunks howling outside at 3 am. Still, easy...

This was our first trip to Italy. We had only 3 days and this Hotel, although fairly basic, was just perfect. It is very central to everything, comfortable and clean. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfast was simple and plentiful. It is a good hour on the bus from Pisa Airport. I had emailed the...

Location is amazing and less than 5 mins to the duomo. However hotel itself is very dated and feels more like a hostel due to the layout and dated feel. Saying that our room was big and all rooms have a private bathroom, and you are never in the room anyway. Breakfast is very basic and wouldn't recommend, however if...

We stayed at Hotel Gioia in Florence from February 26th until March 2nd 2016. I loved the fact that Hotel Gioia is within 5 minutes walking distance from the Duomo in Florence! This was amazing! Also, the hotel is very comfortable with extra spacious rooms and beautiful views! For example, our triple room overlooked a main street so when I...

Travelling in a group of three adults, it was sometimes hard to find shared accommodtion that was spacious enough to unpack and store three lots of luggage. Not so at Gioia! Though it needs three trips up in the tiny lift with luggage, the room of one queen size and one single provided plenty of room to comfortably dump our...

The people who run/own this hotel were really nice, its a basic breakfast, that does the job, lovely coffee. We slept brilliantly, quite too, Great location, we would stay there again. WARNING: Next door to this hotel is a super market, we witnessed tourist arguing with the staff most evenings, in english. We did not know why, we were a...

My two daughters and I were vacationing together while my daughter was on holiday from her semester abroad. From the moment we walked in, the hotel staff treated us like family. We spent 4 nights at the beginning of the trip and ended with 2 more nights at The Hotel Gioia. Our luggage was waiting for us in our room...
