This was our first trip to Florence and the Hotel Pendini couldn't be better situated. Room and bathroom were great. Had a bit of trouble with our safe, but it was handled quickly and efficiently. Our view was of the Carousel and square, which was lovely. The only down side was that each night there was music and most nights it went well after midnight. Bedding/bed were comfortable and any interactions with staff was great. Maid staff were especially friendly. Very good value when compared to surrounding hotels. Pricing is better as it is considered a Pensionne, rather than a hotel, but seemed like a hotel to me. We stayed for a week before heading off to the countryside. We enjoyed many a cappuccino in the square, as well as drinks and snacks! We would return again if travelling back to Florence.…
The Hotel Pending was an excellent place to stay in Florence. It is facing the Piazza della Repubblica, and our room for 4 people faced all the hustle and bustle of the piazza, which is what we wanted. The hotel is well kept, but is like a boutique hotel that has classical furnishing, painting, and a rich decor. You can always have a tea or juice in the reading room (which most people skip by). The hotel has two elevators, which are your typical tinier ones you find in Europe. The room for 4 people was enormous by any standards, and had high ceilings. The window opened, of course, and the AC was great. It had a huge bathroom, with a shower on one end, and a bath with shower on the other. Breakfast was quite nice, though the room was on the cozy side (fine with me). Tables were set very nicely in a sunny, bright room, with plenty of options (like scrambled eggs, bacon, a variety of toast, croissants, jams, butter, muslix, etc). Staff would bring you a cappuccino if requested, which had a cocoa smile on it. Staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. One of the staff even brought in his needle that I needed for deflating a soccer ball. So really nice experience. Tips: Parking is tricky, and I would avoid driving into Florence in general. We did this because of our plans. But if you do drive, the hotel provides a reasonable option. The parking is providing to the hotel l by a garage, and it'll cost you 28 Euros per night (summer 2022). This is reasonable considering it's valet parking, and you pay the hotel when you check out. You don't need to worry about the ZTL issues, as they take care of registering the vehicle plates so you don't get dinged 150 Euro ticket (!). I would stay at the Hotel Pendini again. You will walk everywhere, and hear and see everything around the hotel area.…
We have nothing but great things to say about Hotel Pendini! All the the staff is excellent, ready to help as you need it.. from Lando to Shirley in the breakfast room to the wonderful lady who cleans our room every day! The front desk staff from Pamela to Marco to illaria are all awesome. We have no complaints staying here! The room A/C is wonderful! Everything is clean and well maintained throughout the Hotel!
Clean, comfortable, and well located, this hotel is one of the gems of Florence. We stayed here many years ago and we are so pleased to see many improvements. The location could not be more perfect while visiting the historic sights in Florence.
We loved this hotel! It was a perfect location, the rooms were nice and roomy, and the breakfast delicious! It was so nice to come back from a busy day and step into the hallway leading to our quiet oasis. We will absolutely stay here any time we are in Florence.
Bed was hard as a rock pillows not much better. They did not offer any help to get our bags up to our rooms. They lost our cleaning but found it just before we left. Great location but that’s about it
We have only good things to say about hotel Pendini. Because we were in Florence for only one night this time, the location was perfect. Central and close to good restaurants and key sights. The staff and the facilities were outstanding.
Thank you Hotel Pendini, this was my second stay with you and as before l loved it. Rooms were spotless and clean, breakfast had a wonderful variety and the view out the window cannot be beaten. The position is perfect for wandering around Florence.
Great stay at Hotel Pendini. Located on the water and close to many restaurants. The breakfast was the best breakfast we've ever had at any hotel. It was fantastic! The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms were perfect. Very clean and nice. Our first time to Italy and this was our first stop. Highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely accommodations at a great location! Historic building which gives it a genuine Italian feel. Walk to the piazza and become a part of the culture! Staff was accommodating and the breakfast was great!
