A charming hotel on the river. Set in a slightly quieter location but within easy distance of all you could want to see. Comfortable room and bathroom. The bath in my room would have been more suited to a child but never mind.
We arrived in Florence with no reservations and this hotel made us feel like we were part of their family. Quaint, clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast with fresh items! Some of the best wifi on our trip!
Shame, this hotel has everything going for it: Great location, great views, garden, free parking, large rooms and all in a beautiful buliding. But it so so badly let down by the tired and shabby interiors in the room. The bathroom was so dated and...More

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
