Our host, Grace, was very accomodating and nice. Our arrival in Florence was unexpectedly early and when I informed her about it she immediately had the room cleaned. We could not be pleased enough! Our room was next to the Duomo and close to a lot of major sights. Grace was very helpful and informative. The room was very clean...

The hotel location is great, a small walk from Duomo Cathedral (I mean, like 1 minute walk!). It’s an excellent opportunity to explore Florence by foot as you are really central and really close to everything. Be prepared: hotel doesn't have elevator, so how's your cardio? It's 5 flights of stairs! Room was clean and comfortable for 2 or 3 people....

Very good place. The hostess is superb meeting us at the entry. We've felt and looked very tired after the trip to hotel so you just imagine our surprised faces when the hostess, Grazia, picked up one of our suitcases, btw it was abt 30kg, and flew it to the second floor. Crème de la crème location! 5 star cleanliness!...

This B & B/hotel is near the central hub of everything. It truly is next to the Duomo, and what a site to see. Beautiful location, clean room, the family who owns it is very pleasant and seem to care. The only draw back was there was no wi-fi in my room, so after going through internet withdrawals, it was...

The Adelaide House is perfectly situated across from the Duomo. Despite the area's busy streets, the guest house is quiet. That might be because it is located four flights up. Despite the hike up, this is a great spot: centrally located, well-priced, clean and quiet. The old painted ceilings are a reminder of the past while the excellent modern plumbing...

Wow, what a location! Situated right next to the dome, and within walking distance from pretty much everything, you cannot go wrong with this B&B. We were greeted by Grazia who was very helpful and polite. After purchasing tickets using the wifi she was kind enough to let us use her printing facilities with no fuss at all. The rooms...

Yes, it has 5 flights of stairs and it has no elevator/lift. That being said, everything else was fantastic. You cannot beat the location. When we got dropped off, we noticed a big church in front of the car. When we got out, we noticed the Duomo, and wow... we were that close. Breakfast is a card for a croissant...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

Adelaide House is located in one the most popular Florence streets: via dello studio. Lo studio was the university founded in 1348 as Stadium Generale, at which pope Clemente VI assigned the same privileges proper of other universities. This street, with its 19th Century buildings represents the most ancient heart of the City, two steps away from the very popular Florence Dome with its cupola of Brunelleschi, and Giotto bell tower. A square known all over the world for art, fascination and history. Adelaide House is modern and elegant Bed&Breakfast, located in an imposed and refined historical palace. A prestige place characterized by a particular intimate, warm and wrapping atmosphere. A place where in the past aristocrat florentine familiesused to live. With it's never exceeding charme, Adelaide House kept alive its original fascination, the purer florentine spirit quintessence. Staying in one of its exclusive rooms means living again the same lifestyle of renaissance nobility. The proper dimensions ensure the best peace and comfort to all guests. All the rooms, fine frescoed, are equipped with private high design modern and stylish bathroom. Adelaide House is the perfect solution for a business day use, or for a pleasant holiday period.
