Location, location, located... in the heart of central Florence, we were within easy walking distance of the major tourist sites - Santa Maria del Fiore (el Duomo), Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria, Galleria Accademia (The David), and Piazza Republica. Just a few steps farther and you are at the bridge Ponte Vecchio and the Osteria community where you will find the Pitti Palace. From our balcony we could see el Duomo and the Campanella. Step out of the entrance of the hotel, turn right go one block and you are standing at the Baptistry, Duomo and Campanella. Step out of the hotel entrance and walk across the street and you are in the Piazza Rebublica. Step out and turn left and you are standing at Orsanmichele (interior currently under renovation). You can not get a better hotel location for site-seeing in Florence. The rooms were very nice. We had a single on the 1st floor facing Calzaiuoli and the street noise was not an issue at all. We also had a double on the 2nd floor facing the Duomo with a balcony, which was very nice. The hotel has a lift, so moving luggage was not an issue. The breakfast each morning was outstanding - hot dishes, as well as, traditional continental items (pastries, meats, cheeses, cereal, etc). The staff spoke passable English and were helpful in getting reservations to events, and calling taxi when needed. …

We stayed me and my family in the hotel for 4 nights ...great location..clean ... comfortable...greaaaaaaaaaat staff ..front desk is very helpful..breakfast is limited in verities. P .S. ..not related to the hotel .if you take the bus to any place.. validate the tickets once you get on the bus ..or you will end up paying a hefty fine .

This is an excellent choice in Florence, because location: it’s is in the middle of the Florence hearth: a block from Republic square. But the best part of this hotel is the employees, all of them (front desk, valet, housekeepers, waiters at the breakfast and all en general, are willing to give you 100%+ to satisfy your requests. No doubt for us, we’ll be back and we full recommend this hotel.

We had a great experience at this hotel! The room and bathroom were small, but very clean and the service was amazing. Hotel has a great breakfast and was centrally located so you are able to walk to everything. We really enjoyed the turn down service, every night the left a complimentary bottle of water.

This was my third stay at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and the location is perfect. I love having the view outside my window onto the historic Florence streets. Looking forward to my next stay.

This hotel was fantastic! It was very convenient to all of the major sites. We were able to walk everywhere! The front desk/reception staff was friendly as well as the bellman. We loved the breakfast staff: they were always so happy! The housekeeping team was great, too! We also loved the layout of the room and were glad we were on the back side of the hotel where it was a little more quiet. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends!

The hotel's location could not be any better. About 2 blocks in one direction to the Duomo and 2 blocks in the other direction to Palazzo Vecchio. My room was very nicely appointed and extremely comfortable. The housekeepers were excellent providing both traditional and turn-down services. The front desk staff were always willing to help. I appreciated very much the room upgrade I was provided without even asking. The welcome note from the manager was also a nice touch. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

My wife and I spent 5 days in Florence and stayed at the Hotel Calzaiuoli. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a great location, provides great service, and our room was outstanding. A special note: the staff provided exceptional service during our stay. Our luggage was lost for 4 days, and on the first day after our arrival we missed the laundry drop off time and the hotel housekeeper and staff made sure that our laundry was cleaned and returned by the end of the day. We ultimately used the service multiple times and it was outstanding each time. The front desk provided full service regarding recommendations, taxis, and all other reasonable requests. The breakfast was outstanding and the waitstaff was wonderful. I highly recommend the Hotel Calzaiuoli. When we return to Florence, we will definitely stay at this hotel.…
