We spent 4days/ 3 nights in Florence during a hot week mid-July. This is a classic hotel, rooms are spacious with classic furniture. Air conditioning worked well. Our room was towards the back, we didn't miss the view since blinds stayed close anyway because of...More
The older I get, the more I start planning my vacations based on what I want to eat. That is one of the reasons why a vacation to Italy is such a great idea.

We greatly enjoyed our short stay. Staff members were very friendly and helpful and the location perfect for a Florence visit. The rooms and air conditioning were excellent and very welcome in the heat. Breakfast was also very good.

Very reasonable hotel in the heart of Florence. All main attraction reachable by foot. Really bad breakfast - actually the worst one we ever had. Room is old style, big and clean. Parking extremely expensive but this in normal in Florence.

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

I don't specifically remember, but we are early risers and they were acceptable. The breakfast by the way was good - I especially appreciated the smoked salmon, a favourite of mine! What's neat though is that the room continues to be open through the day for guests with juice, coffee, tea and fruit (I think) available - very handy as the hotel is extremely central (couldn't be better!) so handy to drop in to use the washroom and have a free snack.
