It is incredible that there is still room for surprise and astonishment at a hotel. Spadai is one of those places that exceeds expectations every hour you stay at the hotel. Spacious room, spotlessly clean, wonderful scent in the towels, bed linen... everything works just great (well, I didn't really had the time to pair any device to the tv,...

I have stayed in numerous 4 & 5 Star hotels in USA and Europe, this is easily one of the best. Unfortunately it was only two nights for a weekend break. Everything you read on other reviews is absolutely correct, staff, location, breakfast, cleanliness, happy hour buffet, are all first class. The complimentary mini bar is to my mind a...

The location was fantastic, all major attractions, nice shopping spots and yummy eatery were within easy walking distance. It's so easy to get around from the hotel. When we were there, all taxi companies were on strike. Uber was no show, private cars were too pricy, so we walked to everywhere!! We booked a family suite, the entire room was...

location, service, AUTHENTICITY this hotel has it all. I stayed in a Double Deluxe Room and it was exquisite in every way. All the amazing sights of florence are just a short stroll away. I could spend every day of my life at the uffizi and every night of my life at this hotel.

Everything that other reviews mention is absolutely true. Service was incredible as well as the room and facilities. Pictures are true to reality. They have a great diffuser as you walk in the hotel. From Acqua dell Elba which you can buy   in their stores in Italy. We mentioned we loved the smell from our hotel so they added a...

This hotel has everything: superbe location, Comfort with a capital C, great willing-to-help staff. My expectations were largely satisfied and I really think it is a hidden 5 stars hotel into a 4 stars.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Spadai for three nights. On arrival, the staff were so friendly and efficient, explaining all the different facilities of the hotel. Our room was lovely with a really comfortable bed. The modern bathroom was excellent with a great "rain" shower. The "happy hour" in the early evening, in the comfortable bar area,...

From check in until check out, Spadai Hotel was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in a Deluxe Double and it was very nice. Our room was on the entrace side and we had a window so we could open it up and "people watch" The location is perfect and we were able to walk everywhere. The breakfast buffet was really nice....

This should be the #1 hotel, not #5 in florence. Location, service, quality was all perfect. We were close to everything but far enough to relax at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The amenities in the room were incredibly modern (usb chargers next to the bed and on office desk, light switches for entire room controlled by...

The hotel was so close to the Duomo! We had a beautiful room, which was one of the rooms including a jacuzzi bathtub and its own terrace. The staff was very friendly, and they even welcomed us with a bottle of Chianti for my girlfriend's 30th birthday! It was a perfect stay.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
