Our stay at Hotel Rapallo was wonderful. The location was quiet and felt like it was good value being so close in proximity or neighborhood to the popular Four Seasons Hotel known for their stunning garden and property. It was approx. 10-mins. away from our hotel.

The entire staff both at the front desk and in the dining area were extremely welcoming, friendly, funny, helpful, and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Our rooms were tidy and cleaned up quickly when we requested for it (just hang the tag on the door knob).

The daily breakfast is a nice added touch from the place which further added to the convenience for us before we set out on our excursions. They also have tea time and cocktail drinks.

The location for us was perfect for taking the Tram directly to and from the airport and then to all the meeting points for the tours that we booked. Also the Santa Maria Novella Train Station was an easy 10-mins. walk. It was such a breeze for us to take the fast train to explore to other places like Roma, Bologna, Venezia. We cancelled our Milano train ride at the last minute because there was a train strike on the specific day we had scheduled for the ride and we didn't want to take a chance not being able to come back to Florence should the trains stopped operating. Many thanks to the whole Hotel Rapello team for giving us such a lovely experience being in Italy for the first time. We look forward to returning soon!!

We loved our stay at Hotel Rapallo, having booked direct for the best deal. A very welcoming team. The hotel was immaculate throughout and the bedroom a good size/comfortable. The free afternoon tea and cake was a very nice touch as we returned from busy days of sightseeing. Well located and good recommendations for restaurants provided. Thanks for everything. We would highly recommend.

A well-kept family-owned hotel in Florence, Hotel Rapllo offers nice and spacious rooms with all the necessary facilities for guests. They also included a complimentary buffet breakfast with a nice selection in the room's price. The location is good, within walking distance of the main attractions and nice restaurants.

We stayed with friends at Hotel Rapallo for a 4 night stay in March which was fabulous. We would, without a doubt, recommend travellers to stay here to see the city of Florence.
All of the staff we met were so very helpful, friendly, polite and could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble.
The reception staff, the night receptionist who was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny too, breakfast staff and even the owner spoke to us and made us feel very welcome … nice! apologies for not remembering your individual names .
They recommended and booked restaurants for us as well as giving us helpful advise with local information . Our rooms were spotlessly clean and the facilities were of a very high standard, the hotel overall was just lovely for a city break. The bed was comfy and the shower hot and powerful what more could be asked for.
Breakfast was good , pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, cakes, cold meats, bread and a various hot options if you wanted it ..
Location is great, 15-20 minute maximum walk from the station (the trains are very easy to use and reasonably priced too) and everything in Florence is within easy walking distance .
The only one small slight downside was our rooms were on a busy and noisy road but with the window closed at night we didn’t find it an issue !
Well done Hotel Rapallo

We stayed at Hotel Rapallo for four nights in late November 2023. A small, boutique hotel within walking distance of the city centre, but just about far away enough from the hustle and bustle. With that said, the main street outside the hotel (Via Santa Caterina D'Alessandria) is very busy - although traffic noise was not an issue from inside.

Staff were very friendly, and we were made to feel welcome throughout our stay. We checked in during the evening and had Fuoco Matto (Italian restaurant) recommended to us for dinner, as it was only a few minutes’ walking distance away. We’d highly recommend trying this for yourself!

Our room was relatively small, especially considering the price (although I appreciate that hotels in Florence are not cheap in general). Despite this, it was finished to a good standard with modern decor and most amenities you would expect to find.

One disappointment was that, upon booking, I had included a note to specify that we were staying with Hotel Rapallo (and visiting Florence) for my partner’s birthday. However, there was no acknowledgement of this whatsoever - either in advance of our arrival or during our stay. As such, the day before her birthday I sent an email enquiring about the possibility of a small gesture/card to be left in our room as a surprise, along with querying the cost. I was told that they could arrange a flower bouquet and card for €60, which seemed very expensive. As my partner does not particularly like flowers, I asked whether they could instead provide a slice of cake/candle or similar (as well as the price of this). Unfortunately, this email was completely ignored.

The breakfast was high quality with plenty of options. It needs to be booked the day before (there are half hour slots to choose from), as it can become very busy and when this was the case during our stay, the staff did a good job of handling the rush with some very demanding guests at times. The complimentary coffee and cake in mid-afternoon/early evening was greatly appreciated!

We spent five nights at the Hotel "Rapallo" as part of our Christmas trip 2024 and were very satisfied with the stay there. The location of the hotel is optimal and very quiet (about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station and the historic center of Florence). The staff is competent, friendly, helpful and happy to pass on good tips and useful information to guests. Our room was very tastefully decorated, very clean and daily maintained. The breakfast buffet is versatile and has something delicious for every taste and the afternoon tea for all guests is an additional and soulful service. We just felt like "home" and would love to come back. We can recommend the hotel.

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Rapallo. Our terrace room was spotless, very comfortable & we appreciated the special accoutrements provided (robe/slippers, lovely toiletries, fridge w still & sparkling water, excellent linens). Breakfast has a huge variety & the chef will also prepare items to order. There is an afternoon tea/pastries & the bar is open until 8 pm. The staff is efficient, courteous & genuinely friendly. Special kudos to Bryan, Reno & Jeffrey. We had the pleasure of meeting Lorenzo, the proprietor. He sets a high standard for hospitality and provides guests with comfort and quality. Well done, Rapallo! Best wishes for continued success.

Hotel where the cocooning spirit is subtly mixed, very warm both by meeting the team, discovering the hotel , the refinement of the furniture and the discovery of the rooms all sober, elegant and soothing because you are taken care of immediately and you just have to let yourself be guided. All with excellent professionalism for the whole team.
2nd stay for us in this hotel with the same always charming welcome by the manager, speaking perfectly French: Lorenzo. A real plus. It is always available for all information, give you the map of Florence the must visits, all with a smile...
The style, the furnishings are quite in the current shades. Sober, clean class.
The rooms, we were able in April to have 1 with terrace with a view of the Florentine roofs and in November 1 other with authentic balcony very nice even in the morning in November.
Cleanliness, impeccable bedding. Pillows too.
Very well equipped rooms.
Very nice staff.
Ideally located, small restaurants around for the evening.
Hearty breakfast buffet and varies.
I highly recommend it.
Quiet and we feel very comfortable very quickly entering.

We are back from a weekend at the Hotel Rapallo and we were impressed. We traveled with a child of just over a year who received special attention as the welcome box. The staff is very attentive and helpful, from the owner Lorenzo to all the rest of the staff. The room was cozy and with the right spaces, the terrace a plus that we could take advantage of if it hadn't rained. Good breakfast and for all palates. While I understand the presence of many foreign tourists, I recommend an integration of sweet products in the buffet. For parking, necessary because near the structure there are no free parking spaces, we entrusted the car on arrival and picked up on departure (for a fee, but with an acceptable cost). Great location, center easily reached on foot in 10 minutes. Only advice, when possible, a refresh to the rooms, especially the bathrooms, to make the structure perfectly in line with a 4-star boutique hotel. If we return to Florence, we will definitely return to the hotel Rapallo

The staff were very welcoming on arrival. Baggage taken straight to our room. Breakfast was excellent - not just continental, cooked to order eg. poached eggs on toast etc. Late afternoon to mid evening there were complimentary pastries, tea and coffee available in the bar. Plenty of help and suggestions from the reception staff regarding where to eat, how to get to an address and generally things to do. The room was well appointed although a little dark due to shutters over the window. Lights wee required at all times. Plenty of toiletries supplied even toothbrush and toothpaste! The fridge was kept topped up with water. The location is about half a mile from the main train station. If you have luggage I would use a taxi as the pavements are narrow at times and quite uneven is places. Lovely hotel.

Yes - you can take a train from Pisa Centrale (circa 1 hour) and Hotel Rapallo is around a 15 minute walk from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station. Hope this helps.

I am not sure if there is a room for any of your needs. So sorry, I am sure if you contacted this hotel, they would respond. My personal opinion is that this hotel may be difficult to maneuver. I think a larger chain type (there are many and they are still beautiful...) would be better equipped for you.
