This hotel is smack dab in the middle of all the historic sites of Florence and provides an excellent home base for excursions near and far. The hotel staff are pleasant and professional, the rooms are quaint and the breakfast is adequate. All in all, a top notch experience and can be fully recommended

Very nice hotel. Wonderful Staff, helpful, friendly and nice. Escorted us to our room and let us leave our luggage all day after check out. Nice breakfast with lots of choices. They try to accommodate your requests. Nice out side balcony on every floor. After reading the reviews were were not expecting it to be as nice as it was....

This hotel only has location going for it. The rooms are small and the bathroom we had even smaller with a pedestal sink and no where to put toiletries. Don't look for tissues and bath towels are no better than small table cloths. No English language TV, not even CNN. In my opinion it rates 2 and a half stars...

We booked this as it was convenient to our daughter's apartment and it proved to be a gem of a place. Quaint, nice breakfast spread, too. Great location. Felt safe and secure. Clean and quiet. Balcony view of The Duomo! Bummer not free wifi, but it is Italy, afterall!

We came by this hotel, late on Easter Sunday, we had been let down by our accommodation, and needed a place to stay, desperately. Two couples one family room, we took it. The staff were very helpful and could offer us two rooms the next day and for the rest of the week. We took them. Once in our own...

Warm balmy nights in Florence bring us out in the streets until late in the evening. This conveniently located hotel is just steps away from the statue of David. The hotel is clean, reasonably priced with simple rooms. Staff were courteous, helpful and respectful. Centrally located to sights, the square and cafes serving perfect coffee. I would stay here again.

A three minute walk to Duomo, hotel was super clean and rooms were great! A little small, but to be expected in Italy and in the city. Wifi was good. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and all spoke english. Felt very safe getting in an out of the building.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Make sure you go to the bar area and out on the terrace - you can see the top of the duomo and it's pretty amazing. The rooms are an adequate size and very clean. Breakfast was decent for a continental. Two cons: 1. No free wifi. We didn't pay for the wifi...

ok, it's not super luxourius, but rooms are clean, and charming. located just a few minutes from cathedral, palazzo medicci, and san lorenzo. but, the reason why i rate it excellent is its roof top terrace, with a wonderful view of the dome of the cathedral. breathtaking

Rooms were nice and classical but the location however was not so good. Its about a 6 minute walk to the Duomo and 15 minutes from the Firenze Station. breakfast was ok but they served late. Everything was dark in the hotel. Too much light conservation.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
