Recently travelled to Florence with my husband and best friend. We stayed in the apartment suite and were blown away be what we found. Two large bathrooms, a kitchenette, dining room, washing machine. It could have easily slept about 7 people. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was fresh and wonderful, the bistro was equally marvelous and the location could...

Great atmospheric hotel within easy walking distance of everything. We had a room on the first floor at the back overlooking a lovely garden that was so quiet and comfortable that we overslept on the first morning! The teenagers had a room on the ground floor which opened on to an internal courtyard which was stuffy and the air conditioning...

Charming hotel with tons of character. Clean, great proximity, and even better service. Daniele and Francesco gladly answered all of our questions. They made great restaurant suggestions and even made the reservations for us. The attached caffe - bistro was an added bonus. Really enjoyed the quality of the breakfast offerings. Sat outside in the evening and had great beverage...

We spent 5 nights at Il Guelfo Bianco and it was just perfect. The location couldn't be better - within walking distance of everything in Florence. When we booked the room, we opted to upgrade to a junior suite - definitely worth it. We had a large bed, an ample bathroom, and room to spread out. It was less a...

was just as good as the first. Extremely helpful when booking and although we knew what to expect you are always wondering if it was a one-off and the euphoria of visiting Florence swayed you. However the accommodation, buffet breakfast and general ambience is enhanced by the genuine helpfulness of the staff and especially Antonella and Julia, who remembered us...

My husband and I stayed at the Il Guelfo bianco for four nights at the end of September. We had taken the train in from Rome, took a cab to the hotel (very quick) as we both had suitcases. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our room to be ready upon check-in. Our room was on the 5th floor which...

My wife and i just spent 2 weeks in Florence and stayed at il Guelfo Bianco for all except 4 days of our stay. It is within walking distance of all the major attractions yet is just out of the busiest area of town. The rooms are clean, bathrooms updated, staff exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast is just...

This is a lovely slightly quirky hotel - well placed for most of the things you'll need to see in your visit. Staff were welcoming and our room was splendid - loved the angels on the ceiling!! The Bistro attached was very quiet but we were well looked after by very enthusiastic and interested bar tender. Breakfasts were perfect and...

We found the hotel through Trip Advisor and were not disappointed! It was ideally located for our visit to Florence. It was close to everything we wanted to see. Easy walking distance to the museums, sights and restaurants. We emailed the hotel in advance to arrange dropping off our luggage with our rental car and that went very smoothly. The...

We found Guelfo Bianco little changed from the last time we stayed there, 11 years ago. For 181 euros a night, we got a quiet, clean and spacious room (#105) overlooking the central courtyard. The restored pensione is just down the street and around the corner from the Accademia and a 15 minute walk from the Uffizi galleries and the...
