Our room was perfect for our needs, #4, with an outside entrance to a patio where we enjoyed our coffee and wine. Location was only a block or so from the Academia.

We stayed in Florence for 4 nights at the Il Guelfo Bianco. The room we stayed in was very charming with a large bathroom and soaking tub. The room was definitely above average. We could hear adjacent guests move about (which I feel is normal for any hotel), but we could not hear any street noises. The staff (and location)...

We stayed at the hotel on May 16th & 17th. The reception desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was great with the window facing a very quiet courtyard. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and had a very adequate amount of room. They served a breakfast with a nice selection of food. We had a very good experience...

We were welcomed by the friendly staff. Our non-existent Italian speaking ability was no problem. Our room was larger than expected and had a beautiful view into the courtyard / dining area. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. The hotel was located well within walking distance to the major train station, the Duomo,...

Couple of days ago we returned from a long weekend in Florence where we were celebrating our anniversary. Once again, we booked this hotel based on the good Trip Advisor reviews and are happy to say that it didn’t disappoint. Location is excellent. Literally a few minutes walk to Galleria dell’Accademia, San Lorenzo market, Piazza del Duomo etc. Considering it’s...

I stayed at this hotel for four days in May, 2011 with my husband, as part of a two week trip to Italy. We stayed at many nice hotels during our trip, each of which was in the 4 star range. Il Guelfo Bianco was one of our favorites. The hotel is very conveniently located, within a short walking distance...

Stayed in Firenze for 3 nights after having toured Umbria and Tuscany for 10 days. This hotel is in a great location to explore the city - 5 minute walk to the Duomo. There are great sites, restaurants, shopping and nightlife within minutes of the door of the hotel. The hotel reserved tickets for the Uffizi Gallery for me prior...

Dear "beavertrail", Thanks very much for your review. We are really happy you had a nice stay with us. I would like only to give more info about our rooms overlooking Via Cavour (the main street) . Via Cavour is a street into a limited traffic zone where you can drive only to get an hotel or if you have...

I booked this based on the reviews on tripadvisor and this place met all our expectations. The location is fantastic halfway between the Duomo and Academy, on the next street is a great gelato place (Carabe) and round the corner just before the Academy is a huge bus interchange so you can easily transfer to locations which are not walkable....

Terrific location. Few blocks to Duomo, near Academia, close to the Market. Enjoyed the stay just wish the air conditioning had been turned on.

We happily stayed here 5 nights. We selected Il Guelfo Bianco for its proximity to the train station and it proved to be an easy walk from there to anywhere in the historic center. The staff was helpful and kind, and we had a room (the oddly named 103B) situated alongside an interior courtyard so it was quieter than being...
