In tune with the historic city of Florence, we were staying in a building built in 1865 with wonderful fresco in the ceiling. They offer great coffee throughout the day (free of charge) and even sweet wine and cookies which would cap off a wonderful...More
This boutique hotel was lovely!
We recommend it for its intimate atmosphere, the host was great; he explained the ins and outs of the city & restaurants in the region, getting to the Uffizi Gallery... total GEM on Florence!
This 5 room boutique hotel is located a short distance (5 minute walk) outside the manic Florence 'tourist zone'. Filling the entire 4th floor of a historic building, every area has been redone and decorated by one of Florence's finest architects. Rooms are large, both...More
This lovely place is in the Saint Ambrogio neighborhood of Florence, an easy 10 min stroll from Piazza Della Republica. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, spacious and extremely clean. My room looked out over a pretty garden. The restaurants and pastecceria’s around St Ambrogio are...More
This was easily one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had (and that list includes the Four Seasons). This family-run boutique hotel consistently went above and beyond my expectations. Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night. Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the Central National Library. As a hub for young people, the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated by songs and dances.

Apologies for the delay in replying. It takes about 20-25 mins from the airport in a taxi. We arrived by train from Venice and it was only a 10 minute ride from the train station. When flying home, it couldn't have been easier - there is a button you press in the hotel and a taxi turned up 10 minutes later. I think it was about €25 with a tip.
I would thoroughly recommend this place.
