Palazzo Magnani Feroni is an historical home that for over five hundred years has been at the centre of Florence's aristocratic life: one of the oldest dwellings in the San Frediano neighbourhood, it has stood as an important symbol of the city's history and its artistic value. The class of this elegant renaissance palace, evident upon entering, finds its maximum expression in the sumptuous suites and the luxurious hospitality quarters, furnished with candelabra, statues, paintings and frescoes form the '500. Each suite reflects the refinement of the Renaissance style, with the subtle combination of comfort and modern technology and decorated with tasteful antique furnishings and materials originating from the owners' ancestors' antique collection. Spanning between 80- and 120-square meters (860- and 1300- square feet) in size, the 13 suites each comprise a large living room, bedroom(s) and master bathroom(s). Each includes all amenities expected of a five-star luxury hotel, including stereo, satellite television in both the living room and bedroom, internet port and self-regulating air conditioning units. An architectural jewel of the 16th century, the Palazzo Magnani Feroni belongs to the National Register of Historical Monuments of the State of Italy. Detail and ornamentation characterises the building throughout, surprising the wanderer with frescoes, vaulted ceilings and intricate wood-carvings. The Renaissance decor prevails in this palace of traditional Florentine lay-out. Breakfast, for instance, is served in a 160-square meter salon with hand-crafted wood ceilings illuminated by a large original Murano chandelier. In the winter evenings, this salon serves as an intimate, candle-lit Bar, accessible to Palazzo guests and their friends only. The same rules are applicable to the adjoining Billiard Room, as well as to the In-House Gym, so as to assure the guests with absolute privacy. The beautiful Roof-Top Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and houses the Palazzo Bar as soon as the temperature permits. Providing 24-hour Reception and Service, the Palazzo Magnani Feroni is run by a staff dedicated to meet your every need with efficiency and discretion, both prior, during and following your stay. Services include reservations to exclusive restaurants, recommendations of typical local eateries and trattorias, coordination of privileged entrance to the city's museums, airport / train station pick-up, private shopping tours, visits to the Ferrari Museum and private, chauffeured excursions to the beautiful Chianti valley. Also, Palazzo guests choose from a selection of CDs, DVD films and soap fragrances for their suite, as well as benefit from private Guides to shopping and restaurants off the beaten path, personally written by the owners of the Palazzo for an "insider's view" of Florence.

Stayed the one night. Quite reasonable price and good location. The room was clean and pretty. Breakfast was very tiny, coffee, croissant, yogurt and some piece of meet and cheese, we had to ask a staff to pass each piece because only staff can served it.

My husband and I stayed in the Fresco Suite during our honeymoon. The room was beautiful and so unique. The bed was comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the room, with a couch and a couple of chairs. The bathroom is large by Italian standards, but the shower is a typical tiny Italian shower. There is a small private outdoor area that was nice to relax in. The staff was wonderful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Pay too much for little service. The Hotel, was way less then what we paid for. Did not have breakfast room, so we were obliged to have it in the room. The instalations are very old and heating does not work properly. The parking cost is 45 euros a day. In the shower there was a lot of hair from precedent guest. The location is not at best spot. It seems a lack of management amd receptionist was very arrogant.

We are sorry that the Palazzo did not meet your expectations. It is a Palace from the 16th century, which is usually appreciated by our Guests as one can see from all the other reviews and we are centraly located just 5 minutes walking to the main city attractions, such as Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace & Uffizi Gallery. We hope anyway that you will give the Palazzo a second chance on your next visit to Florence and we send you our best regards.

The location was very good with most of the sites in Florence within walking distance. We did not have a car, so I don't know about parking. The rooms were huge and very comfortable, although I only saw two of them. The staff was very helpful with suggestions, and the breakfast was very good.

We felt like royalty in our large lovely suite in the palace. This is a gorgeous property that has retained the feel and architecture of a Renaissance palace -- but with modern amenities. Great breakfast buffet -- and the rooftop terrace commands sweeping views of the city. The staff was friendly, helpful, accommodating and professional. Just lovely.

We ended up here due to strikes and spent 1 night in the Carlotta suite. The receptionist was very friendly and took us up to our room , showing us the 24/7 coffee/tea making facilities on the way. The building had a wonderful feel and was lovely that it had not been spoilt or to modernised. Our suite was large on the second floor. There was a lovely roof terrace that was only accessible up 60 steps. We spent a lovely half an hour up there in the evening chatting to the bar tender- who pointed out the buildings we could see and chatted about life. We were the only ones up there and not sure if the stairs are off putting for some. The only reason I cant give a 5 is the sofa in our living space was very hard with a huge piece of wood to keep us sagging into the sofa and the bed wasn’t overly comfortable, and comfort is very important when travelling from home. We didn’t opt for the breakfast in our room as wanted to head to the airport in case of any issues with re booked flights. I wouldn’t exactly call the Palace a hotel- more serviced apartments as we felt very much on our own. Having said that I would definitely recommend as it gave a very different feel from the usual hotel atmosphere.

What a great hotel! It was recommended to us by a friend who had lived in Florence for a time and we really enjoyed our stay. The suite was so large and comfortable. After a day of sightseeing, it was like coming home. Loved the coffee and tea available all day in the lobby area. Breakfast was a treat in the lovely dining room. The hotel is VERY quiet. If we hadn't seen other people in the dining room for breakfast, we would have thought we were the only people staying there. Well located--this side of the river is convenient to the various attractions and also to many restaurants. We look forward to a return visit.

This hotel is aboslutely gorgeous. It is filled with ancient treasures from its original owners. The staff is wonderful, especially Dishan, who took care of our every need. Our suite was amazing, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a gorgeous living room. The hotel is centrally located just a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio. The outdoor courtyard is enchanting, full of antique pillars and urns and lovely greenery. Breakfast was very good as well. I would return to this hotel again and again. It was a marvelous stay and I can't wait to get back.
