My husband and I recently stayed here while in Florence. Great location. Friendly staff-- Niccolo was very helpful with planning a day trip and answering any questions. Luigi was very friendly and gave us excellent restaurant suggestions.

But Hotel Torre Guelfa came pretty close. It is an old building, refitted as a hotel, with stone floors and many places to wander, The room itself (we had a triple tho there were only two of us) was dark and had no view, but it was comfortable and very spacious. The staff was more than gracious, Breakfast was unexceptional...

Our second stay at this hotel and loved it both times! Great location, a few blocks from the Ponte Vecchio. Wonderful breakfast, helpful staff. If you like old fashioned atmosphere this is the place. Antiquey furniture, the entrance looks kind of like a dungeon, but above all, the amazing 14th century tower you can climb up to, sit and have...

Just an overnight stay in Florence and picked this hotel due to location and price. What a great surprise to find such a charming delightful hotel with a historical tower with 360 degree views over the city. Had an extended happy hour to watch the sunset. A magical place. Our only regret was we only had one night in Florence....

Picked this hotel primarily due to location and cost. I had being doing business in Italy and was departing early so decided to overnight. Check in was perfect, no issues. I arranged a early taxi with them and they offered to make me a to go breakfast since I would be leaving early, very nice. Room was a decent size...

First of all, the location of this hotel is right in the middle of all the activities, on a relatively quiet street. I say relatively, because there was construction on the road outside the hotel, but obviously this is temporary. A few good restaurants just steps away from the hotel also. It's an easy walk from here to the Duomo,...

My husband and I have just returned from a much-anticipated stay at the Hotel Torre Guelfa. Florence was my Birthday present so to speak...and we had booked an expensive Superior Room (206 euros per night) months in advance. All the reviews had been quite positive so the disappointment on our arrival was huge! Firstly, the street in front of the...

Dear Robert and Anna, We are really astonished reading your negative review after all your congratulations at the front desk during all our conversations while here in the hotel. Maybe during your 2 night stay you could have shown us your disappointment? Hard to imagine why you wrote “with no help offered from the Hotel Staff”: to be honest, 2...

Stayed for 8 nights in September this year. Hotel is located close to all the main sights and is a lovely old building. Breakfast is self-service and in the breakfast room on the third floor. Rooms are old and interesting. Only thing that spoilt it a little was the building work going on next door. Staff are all friendly and...

Torre means tower and it does have an elevator to 3 (4th floor). The small roof-top bar is open 6-10 pm and worth the stair climb, or BYOB or lunch up there before 5:30. Rick Steves' tour was checking in the day we left.

We booked this hotel very last minute (by fluke) and were lucky to have stayed here! The history of the building was quite intriguing and enjoyed learning about it during our stay. Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
