My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in Sept 2011 for 2 nights. The rooms are GORGEOUS - the shower and bathroom was amazing - breakfast was delicious - the common area was adorable but best of all was the roof top! Breathtaking view of Florence, incredible location and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We were...

We absolutely loved this little boutique hotel in the centre of Florence. The building is an old family palace that has been converted to a hotel. Consequently it has an abundance of character and lovely original features including a tower with views of the entire city. Our room was large and comfortable with a "princess" bed while the bathroom was...

Wow, what a great place. First, they are very friendly and helpful and introduced us to a small Mom and Pop type Italian restaurant around the corner that became our favourite place -- went back many times and the staff got to know us and were so kind to us! I digress... We had a beautiful room that faced the...

I've been to Florence several times. If you stay in the centre it's going to be a touch noisy but we heard little road noise and although we did not have a room with a view it was lovely.as was the breakfast and the friendly staff

Outdated rooms, except for updated bathrooms. Very limited internet. Complain and they will make you feeli like you are the problem. If you would like to get up at four AM, pick the from we had because the noise in the alley will wake you up. We asked to have our room changed and they could not help us out...

We stayed in the terrace of the Torre Guelfa Hotel in October. We were so happy with our choice. The location was perfect; just a couple of blocks from the Ponte Vechio and a short walk from the Uffizi and Accademia. The staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended great local restaurants. Chris, the hotel bartender was a delight...

I've stayed at the Torre Guelfa Hotel 3 times now. First alone, then with a friend, and the third time with my adult son. It is perfectly located down a tiny quiet street, but yet just off the Ponte Vecchio. it was convenient to the major museums, Duomo, and the southern side of the river for the Palazzo Piti and...

We stayed at the atmospheric and historic Torre Guelfa Hotel in October and can highly recommend it to travellers looking for comfort and style combined with friendly, helpful staff and a perfect position within the old city. It is mere minutes from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Its ancient tower features a bar from which you can enjoy a...

A very good three-star. Toons are a bit dark but with a fun castle feel our family liked. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, breakfast good. Best is the tower. We put the kids to bed and enjoyed the view of Florence with some limoncello. No Internet in rooms but cozy lounge upstairs did have free wireless. Location was walking...

We spent two nights at this hotel on our Rick Steves Heart of Italy tour in September 2012. Great location in the heart of Florence, very close to all the tourist sites. Rooms are perfect for the traveler (all the basic comforts), friendly and helpful staff, super breakfast, free WiFi and a spectacular view of the city from the tower....

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
