We stayed in the terrace of the Torre Guelfa Hotel in October. We were so happy with our choice. The location was perfect; just a couple of blocks from the Ponte Vechio and a short walk from the Uffizi and Accademia. The staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended great local restaurants. Chris, the hotel bartender was a delight... More

I've stayed at the Torre Guelfa Hotel 3 times now. First alone, then with a friend, and the third time with my adult son. It is perfectly located down a tiny quiet street, but yet just off the Ponte Vecchio. it was convenient to the major museums, Duomo, and the southern side of the river for the Palazzo Piti and... We stayed at the atmospheric and historic Torre Guelfa Hotel in October and can highly recommend it to travellers looking for comfort and style combined with friendly, helpful staff and a perfect position within the old city. It is mere minutes from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Its ancient tower features a bar from which you can enjoy a... More

A very good three-star. Toons are a bit dark but with a fun castle feel our family liked. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, breakfast good. Best is the tower. We put the kids to bed and enjoyed the view of Florence with some limoncello. No Internet in rooms but cozy lounge upstairs did have free wireless. Location was walking... More

We spent two nights at this hotel on our Rick Steves Heart of Italy tour in September 2012. Great location in the heart of Florence, very close to all the tourist sites. Rooms are perfect for the traveler (all the basic comforts), friendly and helpful staff, super breakfast, free WiFi and a spectacular view of the city from the tower.... More

We recently stayed at the Torre Guelfa for four nights while vacationing in Florence and really enjoyed the hotel. The best [art about it is definitely the price for the location. The hotel was walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go in the city and the price was very reasonable. It's not an extremely fancy place but has everything... More

We had such a wonderful time in this hotel. The decor is very inspiring and the 360° view at the top of the tower is simply breath taking. Everything is so romantic and welcoming that you feel completely at home. the rooms are airy and specious and at the same time cozy. The service fantastic, and the location couldn't be... More

Very chic rooms with high ceilings and comfortable beds , a few minutes from the famous bridge centrally located but if your room is on the street side it is like you are sleeping at the street with all noises, Nice breakfast room and delicious breakfast.

We had one night in Florence before heading home from a vacation in rural Italy. Hotel Torre Guelfa was recommended in our favorite guidebook, and we now can't wait to return. As others have said the location is superb. The history of the hotel itself is worth learning, and we strongly recommend climbing the tower in the evening to enjoy... More

This hotel in this old, historic building is in a great location for tourists visiting Florence, and is just 3 easy walking blocks to the famed Ponte Vecchio Bridge, and about 6 longer blocks to the activity hub at the Piazza Della Signoria Square, where a full size outdoor copy of the “David” statue stands, along with other famous statuary,... Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
