My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights of our holiday in Italy. It was, by far, the nicest of any of the other hotels we stayed in. It's a fantastic location with a lovely rooftop terrace, just don't try to eat breakfast there, the pigeon's are awful. But evenings are lovely. The breakfast is traditional European fair, but...

Our stay was made a good experience because of the staff. However, to be completely honest we found there were a few too many issues to consider returning. First off we were put in room #305 which literally felt like we were in a dungeon - SO far away it was a real trek to find it, very very OLD,...

We stayed here for one night before heading to the Tuscan countryside. The hotel was lovely. It's really well located, moments from the Ponte a Santa Trinita, a short walk from the Duomo (10 mins) and right next door to Tiffany's (My husband thought I'd chosen it on purpose). It was a great base to explore the city from and...

Can't do much more than agree with the previous reiewers. The location of this hotel is perfect , most things are within a short walk including the train station, ponte vecchio, duomo etc etc. The hotel itself is a bit of a gem there are loads of old bits and pieces on the wall, a reading room with free internet...

We stayed here Sept. 22 for my birthday. I picked it from the good reviews and pictures of others, but I had no idea how magical this place would be until we arrived. When you arive, you are greeted warmly and they efficiently have your baggage taken to your room. We were upgraded to a nicer room (room 207), without...

I have stayed at the Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci three times for business purposes in Firenze (Florence, Italy). The hotel is an old palazzo so every room is different - they are all clean and comfortable with accessible wireless Internet. Every time I am impressed with the level of service, unique rooms, and excellent breakfast. The hotel is walking distance to...

We needed a triple, and they gave us a huge room with a lovely view of the city. The Hotel has a lovely old world feel, right out of the 1920s. The Breakfast was very good, and you could even take it out on the roof terrace if you wanted. The front desk was not particularly helpful, but the Wi-Fi...

I stayed at the Tornabuoni with my wife on our honeymoon in August this year. The hotel is actually a 14th/15th century renaissance palazzo and is elegant and grand inside. Upon arriving we were given the choice of two rooms. Both were very spacious and accomodating with both charming decor and luxuriant furnishings but the second room was clearly a...

Spent 4 nights here in July with my 12 year old daughter. After some of the negative reviews, I almost changed my mind. Thank goodness I didn't. Yes, it is a series of hallways and stairs. We were in a room that you had to access from the rooftop garden and then down a few flights of steps. It was...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
