The Palazzo del Borgo is a great hotel, with rooms that truly make you feel like you are hosted by a king in Florence. The staff is nice and they offer a nice spread for breakfast. There is also a nice patio area with table...More
The hotel is located in a historic building pretty close to the city center, about 10 minutes of walking to Santa Maria del Fiore. The room itself was the largest I ever had, with ceilings at least 5 meters high. That's certainly a novel experience....More
We stayed here for 3 nights as we were attending the Mugello Moto GP and it didn't disappoint. Such a quaint little hotel with all the Italian charm you should expect in Florence. We had quite a large size room and bathroom was a good...More
Very easy to get to from the train station. The bathroom was modern with a good shower. The hotel is older but clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with directions to attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was included and was pretty good.

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
