Positives: + Very clean + Great water pressure and hot water + Good location + Air conditioning + Friendly staff Not positive or negative, just information: •3 floors worth of stairs to get to the hotel from the street level (this worked out well for me because after eating so much I needed the extra excercise) • The walls between...

We stayed for 3 nights. Right in the centre of Florence. Very easy to reach from train and bus station just 5 mins walk. We had a lovely room (5) which overlooked a courtyard. The staff are on hand 24/7 and are very friendly & helpful.

Stayed just one night and I wouldn't recomend more, especialy if you have a room with shared toilet. The staff is friendly, but speaks only italian. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor in a building of 6 or 7 hotels. The more you go up, less stars you have. relatively close to city center and train station.

This family-run hotel will make your stay in Florence like you are at home. Beautiful view from the windows, clean rooms and good breakfast. The stuff do not speak English so be patient, and also the hotel is located on the 3rd floor without elevator. We totally recommend it :)

Hallways smell thickly of smoke because the staff smokes. Dark dark rooms with no view. Old furniture. Moldy smell in the bathroom. The location was fine but it's a real struggle to walk all those stairs when you're tired. Cheap but not recommended.

The hotel is located close to the sightseeings, but it is on the third floor (no elevator), so it was a long and heavy way upstairs with our suitcases. The hallway was smelling of smoke, which wasn`t nice at all. The room was old-fashioned. We didn`t like the shower, because there were no shower curtains or walls, so the water...

This hotel is in an old building, on the third floor, furnished in classic tuscany style, with renovated bathroom. Location is very good, since it is very close to Florence attractions, and also very close to the central station. We came with a car, so had to leave it in the nearby garage for a fee of 26 euros per...

What a joy to return to Firenze and find Merlini just as clean, efficient, friendly and charming as when I first visited 20 years ago. This family owned Albergo is a gem! They've done improved the facilities with televisions and WiFi. It is a joy to know some things are just as they should be.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Location ideal, just far enough away from the busy central streets, but only a 5 minute walk into the centre. Getting from the Santa Maria train station also an easy 5 minute walk. Could not fault the staff at the hotel - nothing was too much, extremely friendly... The extremely chirpy gentleman owner even...

This is an easier way to get there, especially if you are walking!”
