Hotel was clean and very pretty. Rooms are small but look very elegant. There is no shower curtains which means water ends up everywhere. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was nice enough. Hotel staff do their job but I wouldn't say they are warm and welcoming. Although no fault of the hotel we rarely got a good nights sleep due...

The hotel is very modern in design and well maintained. One night during our stay the hotel appeared to have been damaged by a thunderstorm. Within minutes there were construction workers fixing the building as to prevent any material from falling on pedestrians below. Our room was very small; the door opened to the bed and left very little space...

The hotel is beautiful, a little boutique bed and breakfast with chic and stylish interior design, very central and near to the transport links of Florence and also to many tourist attractions... HOWEVER... On arrival to the hotel me and my travel partner were told we had some unpleasant news awaiting us by the receptionist. The man behind the desk...

Dear guest, we would like to thank you for your comments and for taking the time to share your views on the Hotel. unfortunately due to a problem with the travel agency we required a credit card to guarantee the reservation, obviously we have not transacted any amount, we assigned the room and in the meantime we contacted the travel...

We absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed here in April for a school group and we really enjoyed it. The rooms were nice and modern and the beds had real doonas! The breakfasts had a wide variety of beautiful cakes, fruits and drinks. Hotel Club was located in the heart of Florence so walking to famous monuments was a breeze!...

My wife and I booked to stay at Hotel Club in June 2014, after trawling through hundreds of hotels to find the perfect one for us. Central, modern and with good style. We had read a few reviews where people had turned up and due to over-booking, they’d ended up being bumped across to Hotel Club’s sister hotel round the...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for three nights in March. The location was great, near to the train station, which was great for a day trip to Siena and our return journey to Pisa. It is within walking distance to all the main sights. Loads of restaurants nearby. The hotel was modern and clean. The breakfast was great. Lovely...

Not a bad looking hotel when you first arrive...rooms look modern and awesome. Many rooms lost air conditioning and it was hotter than you know what in Florence. Bring a fan with you! The rooms were designed wonderfully and you feel like your staying at an upscale hotel until you have no air and get bitten by bugs....I don't want...

My husband and i stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon and loved it! It was a great location, walking distance from all the major attractions in Florence. The breakfast was limited, but the room was clean and modern. Very nice hotel with helpful staff.

Not much to look at from the outside, but clean and comfortable inside. Breakfast was buffet style with enough variety to please most. I have read reviews saying it is chaotic and crowded, but we stayed there for 3 nights and it didn't matter what time of the morning we went down for breakfast, there was always plenty of room....

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
