We came 2 nights in Florence in January, and found the city so pretty that we asked if it was possible to stay a 3rd night in the hotel: the hostess Margherita, in addition to being extremely friendly found us a room at lower cost for the extra night, while outperforming us! What a welcome!

My wife is me had stayed at this property and frankly we liked it. The welcome was at the top, the staff was very kind, the room was decent and the breakfast was top. This hotel is located in a quiet area and not far from public transport including buses.
You can walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (about 20 minutes).

Upon arriving in Hotel Orcagna, we were greeted by a clean reception area and friendly staff. There is a small outdoor area, an ironing room and a small sitting area all for communal use. The room was clean, small but enough space for my mum and I, however, due to the open plan shower, the room seemed a lot more spacious. However as said whilst showering, the communal spaces can be used if you fear privacy will be an issue. The reception are excellent with directions, especially on how to get into the city centre. The nearest bus stop is but a 5 minute walk away and it is simple to catch a bus into the centre. At the bottom of the road is also a road that runs alongside the river Arno and this could also be taken as a more scenic route into the city. There are many restaurants around the hotel so it is not necessary to go into the city centre of an evening, there are many on your doorstep! I recommend La Luna pizza just around the corner. Breakfast at the hotel is wonderful and replenished from the beginning to end. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel for short city breaks. Thank you for having us!

We thought the best hotel of our trip to Italy would be the Carnival, Venice, but the Orcagna surpassed: we got a bath upgrade in the room and the welcoming of the staff is exceptional. Margherita and other staff received us very well and made us feel at home. In addition to the fantastic breakfast, there was always an afternoon snack available for free at the reception. Anyway, I highly recommend the Hotel Orcagna!

We spent five night here. Despite this being a small hotel cannot fault it. Room was a good size for two people and had a small balcony overlooking garden. Everything spotlessly clean and all linen changed daily. Breakfast very good and plenty of variety. Although about a mile outside of Florence centre it is a pleasant walk and also the bus service is excellent and cheap. We ate locally in the evening and there are some very good restaurants just around the corner. It was nice to be away from the crowds and eat with local people. ALL staff were friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to help. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a residential area about 20 minutes walk out of the city centre. It is very quiet, even on the fabulous balconies that our rooms had.
The hotel and the rooms were all very clean and tidy. The staff were incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfasts were not what we are used to in the UK, but (I believe) very typically Tuscan, with heavy focus on bread and cakes. If I had one (very) minor quibble, it would be that the gentleman responsible for replenishing the breakfast buffet during breakfast was sometimes a little slow, and would not be overly generous when he did put out new items.
However, this is a very minor quibble and does not take away from the fact that this is a fabulous hotel, with fabulous staff, in a great location.

It's a nice enough hotel, the room we had was quite spacious and clean. The bathroom however is quite small and for some reason the sink/vanity is outside of the bathroom in the main room?
The elevator is TINY but the stairs are quite wide, still not ideal for luggage.
The breakfast was average.
It's about a 20 minute walk to the main attractions which is convenient and it's easy to get to them, pretty much a straight line.
I would stay here again, it does the job.

This hotel was in a perfect location. It was close to the river and we could walk everywhere we needed to get to. Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious our room was very comfortable. We even had a balcony off our room to sit and could see the Duomo. There is a small but comfortable space outside in the back which is covered with an umbrella for rain. There are wonderful and delicious restaurants close by. We could walk into the main area of Florence from here. I would recommend!

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the city center through an area with lots of locals and tourists. It's in a mainly residential area that felt very safe and quiet (contrary to noisy central Florence). The people at the reception and breakfast are very friendly and helpful, while breakfast and the room itself provide good value for money. All in all, a very good place to stay in Florence.

Plenty of on road parking along street outside hotels, believe Sister hotel, Jane, across road has private car parking but contact hotel for confirmation.
Fantastic stroll along river to Ponte Vechia or branch off at library for restaurants towards centre.
