the hotel was a bit of trek from the station especially as we arrived in the baking heat with backpacks. but actually it is a short walk to reach the centre once you've reached the hotel. the lady on the desk didn't speak english but it really didn't matter because she was still super helpful. room was really big with...

There are many many good things about this hotel - the staff are friendly, breakfast is simple but all you need, bikes are cheap to hire for the day (5 euros), chamber maids clean the room daily with fresh towel and toiletries, the local area is great for shopping and for food and the access to town is brilliant with...

Even though we were there many years ago, everything sounds as if it is just as wonderful. We loved the staff, clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, and felt as if we were not tourists but locals because of the area and the great people at the hotel. Very near the Arno - which was wonderful.

My wife and I spent three nights at the Hotel Orcagna in early July. We paid just under $90 per night with all taxes and breakfast included. We arrived in Florence at the Santa Maria Novella train station and were able to quickly get on the number 14 bus to Ave. Arnolfo just as described on the web site. We...

Travelled with elderly parents and stayed at Orcagna for four nights, what a delightful hotel with extremely helpful staff. We needed a wheelchair and this was easily arranged for 3 days at only 15 euros. The rooms were airy, clean and bright. We used the mini bar for a cold beer on return to our room - only 2 euros....

The Orcagna is a really nice hotel in a quiet, mostly residential area east of the city centre (about 20-30 minutes’ walk from the Uffizi/Ponte Vecchio). The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is good. We had rooms at the back of the hotel, on the first floor, with balconies overlooking gardens, so...

We stayed at the Orcagna for 5 nights and we were delighted with the spacious room and the warm welcome we received here. The room was spotless, plenty large fluffy towels, bedding changed after 2 nights and a simple but plentiful breakfast. It was away from the main tourist areas but a pleasant walk into town and plenty restaurants in...

This place is underrated - It's in a residential area outside the tourist zone, but there are shops, restaurants, and services close by all frequented by locals - even a laundromat. Clientele is interenational. Our room was large, comfortable with a balcony overlooking the street (very quiet though) and good sized bath. The breakfasts were adequate tho' I would have liked...
