From our arrival to departure, everything was perfect. The staff are warm and friendly and can't do enough to help. We had a lovely welcome from
Jean and his young colleague ?Joshua on arrival. The hotel is immaculately clean, the mini bar topped up daily free of charge was a lovely gesture as was the free arrival drink. Nice spacious room, plenty of clothes hanging and storage space. The bathroom was spacious with a roomy powerful shower. The free
use of the spa for guests was great, my husband and I had the place to ourself, clean facilities, nice sauna and whirpool and sensory shower experience, ideal to relax after so much walking around the city. We cannot fault this hotel at all, its a 15 minute walk away from the centre of Florence in a quiet location but worth it for the high quality standards of the hotel. There is a tram stop nearby (Cavour) which is convenient for the Santa Maria Novella Railway station, much cheaper than taking a taxi. We will sure return to this hotel if we come to Florence again, it was 100% perfect. grazie mille 💚🤍❤️. Our room was next to the lift and ioverlooked the pool and terrace area, it was quiet and you had no idea there was anybody else staying there when you are in your room its so quiet and you couldnt hesr the lift. The bar has plenty of drinks choices and the complimentary bar snacks with your drinks purchase is a nice touch. Buffet breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice from sweet to savoury and meeting a variety of different dietary needs.

The hotel experience was very good from checking in to the room to the space to the breakfast. It was all excellent.

The room was a typical European size room not too big not too small. it was very clean and well taken care of.

The staff was excellent very helpful very nice and very accommodating.

The breakfast which is included in your room was excellent with a lot of variety of different kinds of foods from eggs to pastries to meats to cereals, and of course, lots of espresso.

The area is a nice area. However, the only public transportation that’s available is buses that are very unreliable. They never come when they’re due. there are a few bus stops. There’s one about a block away and then there’s one about five blocks away. it seems the one that’s five blocks away has two or three different lines so you have a better chance of catching something.

it’s about 15 or 20 minutes from the central Florence station.

I would totally recommend staying here

The IQ Hotel Firenze is a delightful oasis at the edge of historic Florence, a short walk from all the major attractions of the city but removed from the bustle of more touristy Florence.

The hotel is in a modern building just a few blocks (10 minute walk) from the Duomo, in a quiet neighborhood with none of the tourist hoards. The hotel has a fantastic breakfast buffet that will keep you going through dinner, as well as a delightful small pool and sundeck that is a perfect antidote for a hot day of summer sightseeing (and also a fun splashpad for those travelling with children). The hotel's restaurant is an attraction in its own right, with a great dinner menu of Italian favorites with excellent service and very reasonable prices, offering both pretty indoor seating and a nice internal courtyard for outdoor dining - highly recommended! For those looking for a workout, the hotel has a modern, well-equiped, very large independent gym in the building that is available for a small charge.

Rooms are clean and modern, with nicely stocked bathrooms and very effective air conditioning that is wonderfully refreshing in the summer (effective air conditioning is something absent from many/most of the museums and historic sites that you will be visiting in the summer, so returning to a cool room in the evening is particularly nice).

I highly recommend this hotel. It is a convenient, comfortable place to stay in Florence and the staff is incredibly helpful in servicing whatever needs you may have both within and outside the hotel.

From check in to check out this was an AMAZING HOTEL to stay at in Florence. First of all, it's located in a non-touristy/less crowded area and so it feels peaceful to come back to the hotel after a long day of exploring Florence amongst the crowds. We were here in August so it was HOT and sweaty but coming back to comfort was something we appreciated so much. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is amazing with lots of choices and we even ate at the restaurant on a couple of occasions and the food was very good! Thanks to Daniele, the bartender who made us Limoncello Spritzes on our last night in Florence and explained the history of the Negroni. Elisa at the front desk is the sweetest! :)

Definitely make use of the spa--you can book the spa on site free for 45 min daily based on availability. It has a sauna and a plunge pool. Perfect to relax and ease sore feet after walking 15k+ steps daily in Italy. They also have a washing machine/dryer for 4 euros per use to wash our dirty, sweaty clothes. Having the laundry option helped us to pack light.

Rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable. They stock the mini fridge daily with drinks and snacks/water (for free!) and we were able to pack our back packs with them for a long day of tourism.

IN SUMMARY- Stay here! I know I will definitely be staying here again the next time I visit Florence.

I visited Florence in March and stayed at the IQ Hotel for four nights. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival. Also, they gave us 10 % off for the restaurant in the hotel and the food was delicious. Also i loved that in each floor had a free water cooler dispenser, which was a fantastic amenity. Additionally, the tea and coffee in the room's minibar were free, as were the soft drinks, biscuits, juices, nuts, and both still and sparkling water in the refrigerator, which were refilled daily. The hotel also had a self-service laundry room on the fourth floor, which cost only €4 and iron and a table for a free of charge. I recommend the hotel for everyone who would like to visit Florence city.

The hotel is beautiful and impeccably kept, all the employees are friendly and very helpful. Even in the height of summer, the entire hotel is always cool and the rooms are very comfortable and well furnished. I don't understand why it has 5 stars.

We were with my daughter in Florence and stayed in the IQ Hotel Florence.
We immediately liked the kindness and hospitality of the staff. We left our bags and then went for a walk around the city.
the Hotel is located close to the center, no more than 10 minutes on foot.
The room is welcoming and warm with a fantastic terrace, a spacious double bed, a large and functional TV, a minibar with free drinks and snacks offered by the Hotel and a kettle with cups and teaspoons.
The bathroom is spacious and bright with a huge mirror where we can find a hairdryer, shower products such as body creams, shampoo, conditioner, shower caps and everything needed for the post-shower such as towels, a non-slip carpet and slippers. The shower is also very spacious and has a blue LED light available for greater relaxation. Very beautiful and relaxing!
At the reception they then give 3 tickets, one to use the bar and get any drink, one for access to the spa and one for the restaurant.
The restaurant is well set up and the waiters are very courteous and quick.
The breakfast is very rich with all fresh and quality products! The waiters are in dress code, very kind and professional!
I definitely recommend it! We will definitely be back!

Outstanding hotel, wonderful service from all the staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. It is a beautiful hotel, well designed. The aircon is very efficient, beds and pillows very comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast buffet was spectacular, lots of choice including Prosecco and all for €12 per person. The plunge pool area is a very relaxing place especially when the sun is shining! The location is excellent, barely a 15 minute walk to the cathedral. We would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in the IQ in the main, however there are a couple of points of constructive criticism which I will touch on at the end. Firstly the positives:

The staff here are great - all of them. From the breakfast and bar staff to the front of house team and housekeeping, every member of staff we came across were excellent and couldn’t fault any of them. They all ensured that they tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible and that is a big plus for me when travelling.

Secondly, the location is superb. When I look at booking hotels abroad I usually look for areas which are quieter than the main tourist areas and IQ is situated perfectly. Despite being in a quiet area (seriously, there were times when we returned back where there were no persons about in the area at all), the hotel is situated about a 10-15 minute walk to the Duomo and the hoards of tourists that congregate there. After a day’s touring the city, it was a godsend to return to relative peace and quiet and the IQ ticked all the boxes here. Furthermore, the walk to the main Firenze Santa Novella station is only about a 20 minute walk and very easy to get to and from the hotel, even with luggage.

The hotel generally was clean and very well kept. I wouldn’t say it was the best 4* hotel I’ve stayed at in Europe, however it was clean, comfortable, functional and ticked the boxes we require when travelling abroad. One thing that the IQ did offer which many of the hotels in Europe hasn’t yet is the lovely outside jacuzzi. We only went into the jacuzzi once, but it was excellent and we felt more like it was a holiday rather than a city break. I can’t comment on the spa as this wasn’t used.

The room was functional and comfortable, however there are some points I wish to raise. Firstly, I was surprised that dressing gowns weren’t offered. In most 4* hotels I have visited these have been provided and this could be something to consider given the price of the stay. Also, I felt that the surfaces in the bathroom to house toiletries etc was quite small for two of us; I would have liked slightly more surface room in the bathroom. The carpet in the room seemed fairly low quality and there was an unsightly seam which made the laying of the carpet appear to be a bit of an afterthought. I know these points are fairly minor in the grand scheme, however matched with the cost of the stay these things DO matter to the discerning traveller who is expecting 4* amenities.

Overall though, I would recommend the IQ for the staff and location alone. Had it not been for the minor observations listed above, I would have graded the hotel excellent, however as it stands I feel the the hotel is very good and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the staff for their hard work to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible.

"recently opened modern and fresh hotel. You can feel attention to detail everywhere, a nice bar, a small but nice heated outdoor Jacuzzi, same thing for the spa (free for customers) and gym (for a fee) .
Friendly staff, having worked in the hotel, praise also goes to the night service, which we tested having had health problems during the night, which unlike most hotels was very efficient thanks to the reception boy, Mirco?!?, who fulfilled our requests in the middle of the night and helped us get medicines directly to the hotel, these are the things that leave good memories."
