The location cannot be beat - loved our room directly across the Duomo and with a small balcony. The actual room was small, but always expected when we travel in Europe. Very clean, however. The bathroom was comfortable and also very clean. Overall services were excellent. Front desk staff always friendly and helpful. Free water in mini-bar and free additional...

Ended up spending 2 nights in Florence as an excursion from Barcelona-last minute decided to splurge a bit because of the hectic travels. I usually am a little more budget oriented when I travel to Florence but this was worth a little extra cash. Beautiful (small) plush room. Wonderful free breakfast and the most romantic rooftop bar! They are a...

Directly across street from Duomo. Very small quaint elevator to hotel lobby area on 4th floor. Helpful front desk staff. Lots of restaurants and snack areas nearby. Overall a good choice for our first visit to Florence.

Excellent location, in the heart of Florence. friendly very helpful staff. Clean room. Delicious breakfast and the view from the balkon is amazing. The street is noisy and crowded until midnight, not recommended for those who want to sleep early.

Dear gdittke, We would like to thank you for the nice review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us, the position and the service. Unfortunately having so many visitors visiting the cathedral makes it a little less recommended for early sleepers, but the situation gets relaxing right after dinner time. Our double glass windows also help a lot to...

My room (44) had an amazing view of the Duomo and was perfect for my short stay. I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again and will definitely recommend it. The only less-great point (I wouldn't class it as a problem or a negative) is that the wifi was really slow in the evenings, but that's probably due to the amount...

Dear AmySolo, We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the view from your room and we thank you for the nice review. As for the internet connection, we have lately installed fiber optics with a nice dedicated line just for our guests, but sometimes ,like you mentioned, during evening time it gets a little congestionated. We will see through...

The hotel is something out of a movie. It is right across from the Duomo, with your widows open you can hear the musicians playing right in front of the church. Mix that with the view and you have the perfect setting for everything you could imagine in Florence. You are within walking distance of all the most important sights...

We stayed at the Hotel Duomo for 4 days of our honeymoon and loved it! It was clean and very comfortable and the staff was nice and helpful with any questions we had. Most of all we loved the location, literally right outside the Duomo (we had a partial Duomo view from our window!) it was perfect for newcomers to...

The hotel is located directly across the street from the Duomo. Our room had views of the domes. It's a very exciting location with lots of restaurants, shops, entertainers and easy walking distance to the major sights including the Academia - David, Efuzi museum, and all the other popular destinations. Our room was comfortable, and the bathroom was adequate. The...

Location directly across from Duomo was great. Our room was down some very steep stairs, but they did help us with our luggage. Breakfast was good. Service was friendly and helpful! Bathroom was extremely small and the commode was too close to the minute shower!

Dear Estelle M, Thank you so much for your review. It is nice to hear you enjoyed your stay, the location and the helpful staff. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
