We had a great experience at Hotel Perseo. We booked multiple activities through the reception desk and they were always willing to help with good recommendations. The hotel room was spacious and tidy. The location was great for accessing Florence by foot.
Hotel Perseo was absolutely the best choice for me. It's literally steps from the Duomo and walking distance to the best sights in town (Accademia Gallery, Gli Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and the train station.) The rooms are well appointed, very comfortable beds, wonderful free breakfast, and super friendly staff. And when I needed help, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was totally taken care of. Will definitely stay there again if I'm lucky enough to come back to this beautiful city. Look no further. You've found the ideal place to start your Florence adventure!
After being disappointed on first arrival with the appearance of the entrance to the building , once on the reception level it was a whole new world. A beautifully clean area where we were given a warm welcome by one of the several receptionists. Adjacent was an equally clean and inviting public area where we had breakfast, which was continental with a nice selection to choose from and again the staff were lovely and nothing too much trouble for them. Our triple family room was once again scrupulously clean as was the en-suite. This place also benefits from being a 2 minute walk from the amazing Cathedral and other main tourist attractions. We found a reasonably priced indoor car park only 5minute walk away. Highly recommended for a short city break !!
As others have stated, the location is perfect. So close to the Duomo, Uffizi Galleria, Academia, Mercato Centrale, etc. The train station is a mere 15 mins walk to/from the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. One tip if you are staying in a room with afternoon sun streaming into your room. Close your curtains in the morning and try to keep them clipped together to keep the room cool. Leave a note pinned to the curtains for the cleaning staff so they don't open them up. We found our room unbearably hot when we checked in last month (July 2022). It was a week of 100+ degrees Fahrenheit and I asked the manager to inspect the AC because I didn't think it was working properly. He inspected and assured us it was fine. He suggested we close the curtains for the reason I explained above and that solved the issue the remainder of our stay. The breakfast is comprised of typical European setups: fruits/meats/pastries/juice/coffee. Upon checkout we were able to leave our luggage behind for a bit while we continued exploring. I would definitely stay again next time I visit Florence.…
Flight cancelled and abandoned by our airline we needed to stay in Florence for a night while we tried to make arrangements to get home. I picked this hotel from Booking.com. Couldn’t have been better. We could see the Duomo from our window and it is less than a minute walk away. Room was immaculate with a good shower. Beds comfortable and air con very welcome! Lovely staff. Manager recommended a restaurant for us for dinner and what had been a truly awful day ended well. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
The hotel was located mere blocks from everything. The lobby is up a few floors, but don't let that deter you. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The staff was so welcoming. Great breakfast options as well.
The hotel is located a block from the Duomo Cathedral which is the town center and where you will be spending much of your time in the city. It is an 8 minute walk from the train station and a few minutes from other attractions. Its small size and location make you feel as if you are living in the center of an Italian town and not staying in a big city chain hotel. The rooms are nice and also their breakfast. The view of the red tile rooftops and church bells from our room gave us a true Italian feeling. I booked directly with the hotel and both Louise and Laura were very helpful before and during our stay. I would definitely return and recommend it.
What a wonderful stay we had in this boutique family-run hotel, where the staff do *everything* they can to make your stay perfect. We have stayed in many, many hotels over the years and I can honestly say the service at Hotel Perseo is the very best there is. Continental breakfast was varied and abundant. Our room was terrific - we slept better than we had in weeks of travel. The terrific location is the icing on this "delicious" hotel! I look forward to staying there again when we are in Florence. You should, too!
Excellent location, in the center, only 2 minutes by foot from the Cathedral. The breakfast was satisfying, continental, with variety and delicious warm pancakes with nutella. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked the economy room, nonetheless in my opinion this doesn’t mean a) cracked floor, b) broken bathroom handle, c) broken stand of the bathroom telephone and d) lack of a refrigerator. I had a nice stay but due to the above I cannot give more than 3 stars.
This hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the Florence Santa Maria Novella Train Station and very central to local eateries and many historical sights. The rooms were well maintained. The area was active but not disruptive which was great. Very small elevator if you have a large family. Our male night receptionist was very informative and gave good area suggestions. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
