This is a family run hotel. The only negative was trying to find it in the dark! It was not easy as the sign was not lit up. I had to go into the pizza restaurant to ask for help. They showed me the door.

The owners were very helpful and sent over very helpful instructions about entering the hotel after hours as we were arriving very late.

The room was huge. The bed was extremely comfortable. They might consider updating the old fashioned style of the soft furnishings but having said that it is a very clean hotel.

We enjoyed the breakfast. We took the bus into town which comes frequently. You can buy the bus ticket from the hotel. I think it was 1.70 one way.

The owners will help you in any way they can. They all speak very good English. The parking is opposite the street and secure.
You won’t find many hotels for this price that offer a full breakfast and provide secure parking.

Small hotel convenient to the center with public transport just a few meters.
After passing the steep staircase of entry (with suitcases for people ahead in age definitely not easy) you get to the concierge where there is welcoming and empathetic staff. Cleanliness is taken care of in detail .The breakfast seen the small room must be booked every half hour: rich buffet that lacks nothing and above all it is all fresh of the day served by attentive and helpful staff. He deserves to revisit it

A beautiful hotel with amazingly decorated bedrooms, staff are very lovely and helpful. Located on the outskirts of Florence, a small bus ride or 35 minute walk away to the centre. Would defiantly love to return. Breakfast is located in small room with buffet style complementary

The service is excellent, both the reception staff, cleaning, and breakfast.
Even though it is a 3-star hotel we believe that both the shower tray and the carpets and upholstery require urgent renovation. It is an old hotel with its charm, we understand that there are things that by antique as it is low pressure in the shower is not easy to solve, but an old and poor shower dish has arrangement, as it gives a very bad impression, as do the stained bedroom carpets and some upholstered with poor hygiene.
We chose the hotel for the good reviews in general and it is true that a good service from the staff compensates, but it does not justify certain things that it is up to the owners to renew, as it gives a bit of a grima frankly.
In conclusion if you like to enjoy a good shower and a good hot breakfast I would not recommend this hotel and less with children, the breakfast area is smaller than any bedroom in the basement, having to take shift with children is not very comfortable especially if you are on vacation. The sofa bed is a very finite mattress for a 9 year old girl and the heating is noisy to sleep with her during the night.
We appreciate the kindness of the staff trying to help in everything you are asked and their professionalism to value. Greetings

5 stars not enough for this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Great advice for travel and places to visit. The hotel is not in the centre but very easily reached by local buses which stop virtually outside. Excellent restaurant next door and fabulous gelato just around the corner.

The hotel itself was really good, our room was lovely, with air con and a fully opening doors onto a small balcony. The room was very clean and had everything you could want. The bed was very comfortable.
Despite facing a main road and having a restaurant under it, our room was very quiet.
The breakfast is served down stairs and you have to book a time slot each day.
Nice bathroom with toiletries.
There are some really lovely small seating areas if you want to sit and have a drink or snack.
Right next door was a really good restaurant which I can highly recommend and directly opposite is a huge supermarket which we used to buy cold drinks and snacks but you could get hot food to take away if that’s what you want.
If you are using the bus to get into the centre, which was really easy once the staff explained our options, you can even buy the tickets from the hotel.
The thing that made the hotel exceptional was the staff. From the minute we arrived until well after we left they were so attentive, friendly and helpful. Upon check in they gave us lots of advise re the local area and transport etc.
We couldn’t work out how to use the safe so they immediately came to the room to show us, then there was something else and again they came straight to the room to help us.
On our second day when no buses arrived to take us to the centre we went back to the hotel to ask them to order us a taxi. Upon our return they advised they had contacted the bus company and presented us with a print out of alternative bus stops as there was some alterations due to road works.
When we arrived home I realised I’d lost my glasses. When I contacted the hotel they had found them and agreed to post them back to England for me (a far cheaper option than a new pair).
All though the email exchanges before we arrived and after we left we got prompt replies with answers and also very friendly replies.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and if returning to Florence would most definitely go back and for value it was one of the best options we found.

This hotel was excellent in every department. It was located near enough to the city centre to make it easily accessible & far enough away to make it a quiet relaxing base. It was close to the local bus routes which were cheap & easy to use & also close to a large supermarket which sells just about everything. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which is very good, we ate there 5 nights of the 7 we stayed. The rooms & decor where of a very high standard & were also clean & well maintained. Our room was air conditioned as was the entrance & lobby. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. All the staff were friendly, helpful, attentive & knowledgeable of the local area & happy to do anything they could to make our stay enjoyable. If we ever visit Florence again we would definitely choose to stay here.

Outstanding hotel. Beautiful room, lovely breakfast. The thing that makes this hotel so special is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. My partner left his phone in the taxi we took from the train station and Andrea went to so much trouble to track down the taxi company and driver. The phone was returned to him very quickly. So much useful information was given about buses & restaurants in the area. A very useful map with the bus routes marked and stops was invaluable. The room was cleaned every day and had a useful stocked fridge in the room ( cold soft drinks & beer). Breakfast was plentiful with plenty of variety. Would most definitely recommend. Bus stop nearby, restaurant next door & large supermarket across the road.

We stayed here for six nights and loved this hotel. Our room was called Scarlet Rose and it was stunning. It was large and well thought out. We were lucky enough to have a dual aspect room with a balcony overlooking a small park which was lovely. Both the bedroom, the guest areas and the breakfast room were charming and the staff matched this. Dino, at breakfast, made the best cappucino so take him up in his offer when he asks if you'd like one....you'll be hooked! There are bus stops right outside the hotel and a great shopping centre across the square which contains a large supermarket. There are nice restaurants close by too. We couldn't fault this small hotel and strongly recommend it for those wanting an authentic italian getaway.

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Our room was decorated lovely and immaculately clean. The staff are so kind and helpful and made everything easy. The bus was only 1.50 euros to the centre and came regular and was easy to navigate. Had a nice looking restaurant next door but we didn't get round to trying. We did use the bar and supermarket across the road which was handy and cheap. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
