My daughter and I recently stayed at the Hotel San Giovanni for three nights. Our room was spacious and clean and all our needs were catered for.We had room 8, with bathroom facilities, and rooms were available with shared bathrooms as well. The location was very central, directly on the corner of the Duomo Square, we had views of the...

can't beat this one for location but it is the tiniest place you'll ever stay -even the lift is tiny (and scarey!!) You are hard pushed to get into the lift with your suitcase too! It's difficult to find floor space to put your suitcase and the tiny window overlooks plumbing of neighbouring dwellings. (So many adds say 'some rooms...

With the Baptistry right outside our window, the location can't be beat. Every morning and evening you see the Duomo, so you feel like you are really in the heart of Florence, which you are! The wifi did not reach to our room, just outside of it, so hanging out with other iPhone/laptop users in the lobby is a plus/minus...

This hotel is definitely no frills, but it was perfect for what we were after: it is located right on the main piazza, our room had a view of the duomo and it was very cheap to stay here. Our bedroom was very clean, but the shared bathrooms weren't great. The drainage system was poor and the shower water would...

We arrived in Florence and were checked in to a room that was spacious and clean (mostly, there was some left over boxes/shopping bags in the closet, but no dirt). The room was nice, yes the bells are loud but that is kinda the point of staying so close to the duomo. We enjoyed the area and walking along the...

Hotel was situated right opposite the duomo in the heart of Florence, and only a 15 minute walk from the train station. We stayed 3 nights in a double room with an ensuite in April. The room was huge and clean and had an amazing view. Hotel staff friendly and there to help! Would recommend!

We stayed here some days in the beginning of July 2011. This hotel is right in the centre of Florence. When we opened the window we could see the dome. The stuff was extremely friendly and helpful. This low-budget hotel is situated where normally only the **** and *****star hotels are located. Nothing to complain - we will come again!

Hotel is in an excellent location, right next to the Duomo (which was great for people watching!!). Easy to find and not too far from the main train station. Lift to get up the hotel was a bit exciting as its really tiny! Only stayed overnight however room was comfy. Would use hotel again if visiting Florence in the future!

This hotel is a great place to stay in Florence. Its location is unbelievably close to the Duomo and other attractions. The staff are very proud of their city and very helpful with suggestions on places to see and restaurants. A very genuine feeling of warmth and hospitality. Will definitely stay in this hotel again if I can make it...

We stayed in the annex to the San Giovanni, and the location for was excellent, right next to the Basilica. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was pretty and comfortable and we had our own private bathroom next to the room -- both were spotlessly clean. We also had a delicious breakfast of croissants, juice...
