The Uffizi Guesthouse is on the walk-in level (and is a part of) the larger Hotel La Scaletta. The short steps to Pitti Palace and the mere minutes to Ponte Vecchio make this location prime, along with the fact that this is one of the largest rooms in Florence for the money. The room contains a couch, closet/drawers, desk, new...

This boutique guest house is part of a larger hotel (Hotel Scaletta). The rooms in the guesthouse portion are new, the bathroom huge and well equipped. The service was spectacular (Sarah walks on water.), the location excellent, and the price comparable. The view from the top balcony is superb. I will stay there again (and I’m really, really picky).

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times. We came in late, midnight and with an extra person, and still that was not a problem at all, the staff were very helpful. It is near all of Florence´s main tourist attractions. Coming into the room was very quiet and peacful, very different from what goes on out on...

All of the staff where welcoming, helpful, and pleasant. My sister and I found this to be a great location, within walking distance to the attractions of Florence, good shopping area for artisan shops, gold shops (at Ponte Vecchio), and cafe's. The room was large, clean, and had a very large washroom with a wonderful shower. Air conditioning worked well,...

Two minutes from the Ponte Vecchio this is the very best location in Florence. The Uffizi Guesthouse is like a peaceful oasis in the heart of town. If you possibly can, try and request the blue suite. Very large spotlessly clean and with an exceptionally large wet room what more could you want! A rooftop terrace with stunning views of...

Uffizi Guesthouse is strategically located on the same street and literally a few steps from the Piti Palace and Ponte Vecchio ~ the main artery into the Old City famous for its world class cathedrals, museums, piazzas, restaurants, high fashion shopping district, etc. A completely renovated and super modern hotel housed in a multi-centuries old edifice, Uffizi Guesthouse provided us...

My husband and I stayed at the Guesthouse for four nights at the end of our Europe trip in May 2012, as it had been recommended by a friend. The location is wonderful: steps from the Ponte Vecchio and the Pitti Palace. The room itself was clean, modern and spacious. We appreciated the oversized shower and the generous sized bed....

We stayed at the Uffizi Guesthouse (La Scaletta Hotel) in Florence, Italy on several occasions in May, 2012. The rooms were spacious and modern, the hotel location was great (just a few hundred yards from both the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Piti, plus about 500 meters from the Duomo), the rooms were quiet at night and the view from the...

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
