Hotel literally across street from rail station so very convenient if you arrive by train. Very close to tram line so these are noisy from early morning to late night. Ask for a quiet room at back of hotel. Room basic but clean. Shower head attached to wall, no curtain which was silly. Difficult to shower without flooding bathroom floor. Nice and plentiful bathroom products. No kettle in room. No fridge. We took our travel kettle. Hairdryer acceptable. Breakfast plentiful and varied and large dining room. Fabulous waiting staff. Reception staff really lovely and helpful. Thank you. 15 min walk to central area of historic city but loads to see walking. We would stay again. Recommend this hotel for sure.
Clean and friendly staff, but we are exhausted through lack of sleep. Decided to leave a day earlier than booked. This hotel should be visited by aspiring architects, plumbers, carpenter etc of how NOT to build a hotel. The noise of plumbing was excessive. Could hear people in other rooms. We frequently awoke thinking somebody was in our room, as there was a gap around the door which let in all noise from the hallways. On the plus side, no noise from cars, trains, trams.
Hotel was close to the train station - a definite plus. The service staff were also friendly. However, the room was functional and just serviceable. The bed was big but quite hard and the blankets were thin and not very comfortable. If you are looking for someplace to stay the night close to the train station this will do, but if searching for comfort or luxury you may want to consider someplace else.
We booked this hotel because it was close to the train station. It was very easy to find and to get back-and-forth to the station. Our room was larger than most we had while in Italy. It was simple and clean. There was some noise from water pressure in the walls. Breakfast was provided and was OK but nothing special. What was special however was the help we received from Sandro when there was a Train Strike and we were not able to get to our next destination. He helped us by securing a taxi for us when other options would not work. Our day/ trip was saved! Sometimes the little things make the biggest difference. He made a big difference for two stressed travelers.
Pretty old and outdated . Have an old smell to the room . Bedroom was pretty roomy with extra small bed and a day bed outside also. Bathroom is constructed way back then like the old style . Shower is old with the Japanese style shutters . Water would leak outside when showering. The wall are paper thin can hear a mosquito next room. Pricey for an old and outdated hotel . Breakfast was edible and not great. Juices are overly sweet. Staffs are friendly though.
Staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a large selection of items and was well worth the price. Our room was nothing short of huge and more than enough space for two people with a dining area and kitchen facilities. The only downsides were the bathroom - the toilet made a lot of loud noises that went on for a while when you flushed it and we were just above the tram tracks so you could hear the trams going passed throughout the day and night.
Basic hotel but staff were excellent and it does the basics well. Room a bit tired but good size, breakfast good and location close to station amd short walk from attractions Check in easy and map provided along with ideas/suggestions on local things to fo
We spent here only one night. Very good location, only a few minutes' walk to the historical center. The room was very clean, the breakfast was also good. The coffee machine didn't work, but there were waiters who were ready to bring you that. Besides, we could go to the canteen anytime we needed and take some cool water from the machine. The receptionist Luca was very helpful and kind, he helped me to solve the problem with the internet connection very quickly.
Hotel was a pleasant stay with great customer service and clean rooms. The check-in process was quick and easy for both rooms and were available before the check-in time. My only complaint is the amount of mosquitoes that found their way into our room. My parents had to change rooms since their air conditioner wasn't working. The hotel quickly moved their belongings to the other room and there were no other issues. The beds were very comfortable with blankets available if needed. The breakfast was very typical and offered a variety of food including rice, pastries, beans, eggs, and etc. They also have machines for specialty coffees and juice. The pancake maker was also very popular.
Though the rooms were clean, they were dated and unwelcoming. While the hotel was a short walk from the train station and tour bus stop, it was a moderate walk from many other sites and attractions. The breakfast was ok, in addition to the service. Rooms facing the train station may be noisy. The walls and ceilings are very thin, making guest noises prominent. Overall, the hotel didn’t provide the services of its official rating, 3/4 stars, and was more similar to a 2/4 star hotel.
