We got room 2 and no view of the Duomo. A nice, treed parking area. But it's large and has its own bathroom with shower and a plug that accepts my wife's hair drier and curler.... not just electric razors. Perfect location for touring five of the top ten attractions. Others are a longer walk or taxi ride away. Friendly...

This hotel has a terrific location - you can see the Duomo from your bedroom! There are 2 shared bathrooms, which could benefit from some minor upgrades. Our room was relatively small. Although there is no breakfast room, they do leave you some croissants, toast, and (barley) coffee.

The hotel is a block or so away from the architectural wonder of its time The Duomo in Florence. The rooms are bare with little warmth and the shared bathrooms need some updating. However, the location can't be beat and the staff was warm and friendlyl. The apartments are likely a better option if you're traveling with others. I almost...

I was assigned Room 1 that allowed me a wonderful view each morning-of the Duomo bathed in golden sun, truly a great way to start the day. Cleo made me feel right at home with a quick sketch of places to go on the map that she provided, and Marco is a warm, intelligent host with a good sense of...

We booked for 2 nights at Hotel Dali. On arrival we changed our minds and wanted 3 nights. We stayed for 4 nights. The apartment upstairs looking out over the courtyard was ideal. It was enormous. It was clean and comfortable, and worth the extra 10 euros. The hotel's location is another enormous attribute. So close to the Duomo but...

Enjoyed this hotel - highly recommend! Check in @ 10am and before 7pm; Check out @ 1030am. We paid around 50 euro/night for a double bed with private bath. Pros: - Marco is very friendly and helpful, quick email response time, offered a map of Florence upon check in and highlighted main points to help us get around. He also...

This hotel is centrally located in Florence. My room was very spacious and comfortable. WiFi was excellent. Good restaurants are very near. A true pleasure to stay here. I will return to this hotel again.

My wife and I stayed in a spacious, comfortable room at Hotel Dali, 1-2 streets from the Duomo, Bargello Museum, Palazzo Vecchio yet on a quiet street. Marco and Samanta who run the Dali were warm and helpful. Marco had emailed us about driving in the old city of Florence - the streets are very narrow and street names not...

Although the hotel is located on the second floor, the old elevator works pretty well, unless someone forgets to close the door on a different floor. The staff was super friendly and helpful. they were always ready to answer any questions or give advice. I thought shared bathrooms were going to be a problem at first but it was fine....

We stayed here 4 nights in October 2016 - perfectly located behind the Duomo and very reasonably priced. We had a bright, spacious room that looked out on a quiet courtyard. Bathroom was small but very clean - everything we needed. The staff was very helpful with suggestions. Definitely worth staying here!

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

The Hotel Dal is located in an old palace owned by the Marquis Frescobaldi, renowned by name to Italians and to wine producers worldwide. The hotel's peaceful setting is centrally located within old town Florence on Via dell'Oriuolo ("The Clock Road" in ancient Florentine). This little cobblestone road is still filled with "botteghe" (artisan shops), where carpenters, jewellers and frame-makers can be found at work. Marco and Samanta, a very nice couple native to Florence and experts in providing unparalleled comfort and service, manage the hotel. Their welcome will make you feel at home.
