We stayed two nights here and it was perfect for our brief time in Florence. Absolutely awesome location within a couple blocks of the Duomo - we could see it from our room window. The room & bathroom were quite spacious and very clean. Simple,...More
The location is near to every tourist spots, walking distance to train and bus station.. The receptionist was very accomoding, since it is our first time in florence she helped us by suggesting places to see in the city.. A very nice experience!
We spent three nights at the lovely Residenza Dei Pucci. Our hosts were so helpful with advice about restaurants, touring, and even had our laundry done at a local place and refused to mark it up. The room was large and nice and a block...More
Great little BNB in a fantastic location in florence - right near the duomo, san lorenzo and accademia museum. Rooms were massive - biggest in europe so far. The lady that works there/owner (forgot her name) is marvelous, recommended all the must see sights, tours,...More
This place is probably a great choice if you know what to expect. I was disappointed overall but still pleased with the location for what we payed. The staff here were wonderful and the hotel is just around the corner from the Duomo. We only...More
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

Not sure about the train as we drove and paid a fortune to park. As for security, there is no overnight staff and we were warned to deadbolt our doors. This alarmed me and I looked back and found a couple reports of break ins in older reviews. We didn't have any issues, but I wouldn't go back. It's a great location though.
