The hotel globus is the right mix of friendly, attentive service, local knowledge and a beautiful, modern, clean hotel! The staff are extremely helpful in booking tours, suggesting local hidden treasures, and even suggesting other cities to visit. If you have ever stayed at a W hotel you will have some idea what the hotel Globus is like but add...

I was very pleased with it. the staff was very friendly and professional. the decor is modern and very sharp. the location is very central. the breakfast was adequate. my room was quiet and well conditioned, which was very important since it was +33C outside. my single room was very...

I stayed at the Globus hotel with my husband for a week (we spent the bulk of our vacation in Rome). Although some reviews indicated that the room was small, we found the rooms to be average sized and comfortable. We decided to visit Florence a day early, so we stayed in a double standard room the first night before...

We stayed in the Globus for 2 nights in June. The hotel was modern, clean, served a decent breakfast and was in a central location but the double bedroom was a joke! We are pretty sure it was a single room with a double bed squeezed in (it was so small we had to pile our bags on top of...

Our family of four (adults in mid/late 30's and sons aged 13 and 11) really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Globus. The hotel is very well run by a professional and welcoming staff. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate and the cappuccino was served with a smile! We stayed in a quad room (#202) that was very good...

Having stayed here based on the Trip Advisor recommendations, I am surprised it gets as good of reviews as it does. All the rooms must be very different to account for the different experiences. Our room was small but the bathroom was fine, we were on the street though and the noise was terrible! You could also hear everything going...

This is a lovely hotel. I went there with my mum, aunt and cousin. We had a lovely quad room. The room was huge as an european standard. Double bed and 2 singles. The shower was a double shower as well. The room was like brand new with proper satellitic TV. The air con was always cool. With regards to...

I would not say that it is the 48th best hotel in Florence. Perhaps it depends on the room. We stayed in a standard room and it´s pretty small (more suitable for one person). Location is okay and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast not very good and the place not very confortable. Yes, the free internet access is...

Management response:

Dear Guest, concerning you review we agree with you that the area is not the quietest (like every market area) in Florence but that's to be expected since it is very central and lively also at night but this doesn't mean that it is a dangerous area, also considering that a few steps far from the hotel there are several...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Globus was completely renovated in June 2016. The new reception area, located on the street level of Via Sant'Antonino, is now connected to all rooms thanks to our new elevator. The new breakfast area overlooks a small courtyard with a nice vertical garden. Our staff is a mixture of all ages, languages, cultures and countries, always smiling and willing to offer you tips on places to visit, restaurants to try. They're always there for you. For what regards our location, it is definitely one of the key features of Globus. The proximity to all the Santa Maria Novella train station and all main attractions, including the Duomo, both major museums (Uffizi and Accademia Galleries) or Ponte Vecchio, among others, makes it very easy to plan even the busiest day without the need to lose time getting from the hotel to your desired location. What makes our neighbourhood special though is definitely the Mercato Centrale, located just around the corner from here. In the morning, that is where you want to go if you're planning to buy some food to take back home, or simply want to try the famous Tuscan specialties, "trippa" and "lampredotto". Where this place shines though is the 1st floor, open from 10am until midnight. It's a big, modern open space with many restaurants, serving a variety of really delicious food. Make sure to check it out! ... more   less
