This is a fantastic hotel. The building is an old palazzo which has been converted to a hote - it only has 14 rooms. The room we had was at the entrance on floor 2 but it was never any issue with people coming or going. The room was spacious and the decor reflected the style of the building. The...

What can you say - an ancient palace near the Duomo! Friendly staff, great location, interesting rooms, reasonable prices. Downside - breakfast was cold most mornings, drunken girl screaming in the hallway at 3AM (not the hotel's fault but still...) and the room was freezing! We could not get the heat to come on - finally figured it had something...

What a lovely hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Plazzo Niccolini it is so close to the cathedral. When you walk out the front door the cathedral is just steps away. Breakfast each day was very nice and housekeeping excellent. Very relaxing stay with a full sized bath in the enormous ensuite.

There were 3 of us traveling together in Tuscany in July. The staff at the Palazzo Niccolini was able to accommodate the 3 of us together in a suite on the top of the hotel with an amazing view of the Duomo. We could almost reach out and touch the dome! This space had been added on during a renovation...

Small elegant hotel provides 10 rooms. Each room has its own charm. We booked suite and got an excellent suite with the direct view on Duomo. By the way, the hotel located exactly in front of Duomo. Highly recommended

A beautiful, old palazzo converted into an intimate hotel with 10 rooms, steps from the Duomo. It was perfectly situated for walking the entire city, had a lovely breakfast every morning, and helpful staff who coordinated many of the elements of our trip for us, making the stay an easy and pleasant one.

This 1,000 year old palazzo is built around a courtyard and is located about 1/2 block from the Duomo. The location is perfect for taking advantage of the fabulous sights in Firenze. Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo is beautiful and elegant. The location can't be any better. You can almost reach out your hands from hotel window and touch the wall of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It's right next to everything, and yet it's so quiet in the hotel. In fact, you could not even tell there is a hotel...

If you are looking for a truly incomparable experience and cost is not the issue the Pal. Niccollini MUST be your choice. Ask for one of the suites facing the Doumo. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
