Old fashioned, excellent position, with all modern amenities, cleaness on top level, very unique experience due to luxury interior especially in the bedroom, breakfast as a 5 star hotel, very polite and friendly stuff. Worth all the money
A perfect stay! The location was great - a short walk to just about anything and everything. Close to the train/bus station, many museums and historical sites, and fabulous restaurants. The staff were very kind and helpful from checking to checking out. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We will definitely stay here again!
After I had to run out of the Rent a Room Home Boutique Santa Maria Novella (Review of that nightmare to be published) that is in front of this hotel, they got me a great room and save my trip to Florence. The staff is super friendly! I forgot to took names, sorry that I can not mention it, but how good they were to us. The room is kind of old, but very clean, spacious, the breakfast is great and the location is AAA, they even picked my laundry at a local laundromat that I couldn’t make it on time. I really loved this stay, and I would repeat them for sure!
After our airbnb cancelled with 48 hrs notice, we had to scramble to find a place quickly. This hotel, while not inexpensive, was a very nice hotel, with a lovely breakfast. It was very well located for train travel and a quick walk into the city center. It was clean, quiet, and had a nice jacuzzi bath, with robes and slippers. Bonus, they had The NY Times in the lounge. They staff was kind and helpful.
Okay, let me first say that this is “NOT” an amazing location. Yes, it’s within walking distance from the train station, but going away from the tourist area in an unattractive area. The staff are very kind, but the hotel is old… and not in the charming way that we had expected. It felt worn out in a cheap dirty way. After checking in, we started looking at other hotels online and found much nicer accommodations for the same or less money. We actually checked out without a refund and paid additional to stay elsewhere because of how disappointed we were. (I sincerely hope this helps someone else from the same mistake we made).
Room was well sized and clean, housekeeping serviced it every day and replaced towels and bedding - we travelled with our 15 month old so this was greatly needed! Breakfast staff were lovely and friendly remembered our coffee order actively asked if we needed anything sterilising after asking them on the first day, buffet breakfast was a good selection of pastries/ meats/ cheeses. Reception staff were wonderful - our train was cancelled on our day of departure and they went above and beyond in helping us find an alternative route to the airport on time - a big thank you to Aessandro especially! Would definitely recommend and stay again if we returned to Florence!
I stayed here with my Girlfriend and the location was ideal for us. Every day we had to ask for the tea, coffee and milk to be replenished and even that didn’t work. Just went to reception again and there is nobody else in there apart from me, receptionist and I believe concierge.. so I wait and wait and then nobody asks what I want.. booked for 5 nights and will most probably leave after 4.. rooms are basic but you hear every bit of noise. We are by the lift so you can imagine what that’s like..
This hotel is not 4 * rated - more like 2/3 stars . The rooms are not advertised as per the picture. The staffs at reception tried to change my room a day later but called when you were visiting the town . They did not care and just did not hold the room. I have never experienced such mediocre service . The call was on Wattsapp !! I had to internet . Room - nothing like the pictures 👎 Room did not have a sofa , toilet is falling apart . Walls were dirty / stained mirrors . Bathroom - please check photos absolutely disgusting grade - Toilet was falling apart - stained bathroom and supposedly Covid - 19 standard cleaning. Breakfast - it was like a 2 star rated selection and dead cheap - even Comfort inn or Ibis has a better selection . I will not even compare to Hyatt or Hilton Good thing - near station Do not be duped by the photos !! This is a 3 star .…
The Alder Cavalieri is just 5 minutes from the train station, perfect for a delayed flight and to our surprise a delayed train. A friendly welcome and a comfortable room belied a bed that was a dream to sleep in. Managed to not pack a European adapter, the reception had one and gave to us gratis. Beware the plastic breakers for tea as they become very unstable when hot! Toilet seat needed fixing, we reported and it was sorted immediately. Breakfast was excellent with a selection of teas, fresh coffee, pastries, eggs and a really good gluten free selection. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice to be able to sit in the conservatory in the morning. Very centrally located with some excellent bars (The Joshua Tree) and many other good local restaurants all within a stones throw from the hotel. …
Excellent hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, double glazing keeps out street noise. Breakfast is the best I had in a 11 day tour of Italy, very varied and excellent breakfast service from friendly , helpful staff. We arrived on a Saturday evening and received a warm welcome and information from the receptionist. The hotel is very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Also very centrally located. A short walk from the train station and about 15 minutes from the beautiful Duomo. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this first class hotel.
