It's a very good budget hotel at the heart of Florence. I've just spent there a week and it was a right choice. Very clean, good service including room service. Really friendly staff of one good family. All of them - Lorenzo, Sabina, Lavinia and others - are ready to solve all your problems if you have them at the...

The major selling point for this hotel is its location and it is awesome. Only a 5- 10 minute walk to the main tourist sites including the Duomo. Rooms are very basic and fundamentally clean. The TV had a lot of dust for instance but sheets were clean. Reception staff were cordial. Don't expect frills but do expect a great...

This is a simple clean hotel a stones throw from the cathedral and train station. Location is perfect. View of the cathedral from the room. It is 2* so don't expect anything fancy, the decor is terribly outdated and it's not a place to go if you hate an avocado bathroom suite, but its totally functional. It's clean, there's a...

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, and I highly recommend it. Location couldn't be better; two minutes walking to the station, 5 minutes to the cathedral, and no more than 10 to all other main attractions in Florence. The room was quite big, the bathroom not so much, but everything was very clean. Breakfast was €5. The staff...

This hotel was located centrally and close to the station. The owner worked on reception during our stay and was a rather brusque when we arrived. Having requested a non-smoking room, she refused that request, saying that all 3rd party online bookings were allocated smoking rooms. Only direct bookings could have non-smoking ones. Nowhere was this explained when we booked...

The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the Main train station. The hotel is really in the central of Florence as most of the attraction like the Duomo, Market, shopping street and Palazzo Vecchio are all within 15 minutes on foot from the hotel. The owner and the staff were extremely helpful and provided a lot of information about...

We stayed in the family room with our two year old with no problems, the welcome was friendly and the room was spotless. A bit of noise from the room next door when they came in around 11.00 but that is to be expected in Florence as there are lots of old historic buildings. 10 mins to the bus or...

We chose the Hotel Lorena because of a Rick Steves book and it's proximity to the train station. We were surprised to find the reception area up 21 steps to the second floor but the staff was very helpful with our luggage. The room was small but adequate and very clean. We were above a busy square so noise was...

About 7-8mins walking from Santa Novella Station in easy walking. The location is very convenient just across Medici Tomb. About 4-5 minutes walking to Duomo (2blocks). The hotel is surrounded with small leather shops and restaurants very convenient for travelers. Restaurants varied from Asian, Mediterranean, Italian a lot of variety to choose from. Walking distance to Ponte Vecchio as well....

One thing that was not explicit is that they charge for wifi. I did not want to pay since it seemed a little pricey for me since most places offered free wifi. That was the biggest gripe for me. The location is great, the Duomo is only a block away and Grom is literally across the street, making late night...
