I cannot say enough about this place! The room was great: cold, clean, comfortable, and spacious. They also restocked your towels and made your bed. The receptionist was beyond awesome! She was very accommodating with checking me in. The best part was the location. I loved how it was so close to everything but very little outside noise came in! I will stay here again. The hotel feels very safe especially if you are traveling alone.
You won't get a view of the Arno, but it is only a stone's through away from this basic, but very friendly hotel and a fantastic sight at night. Entrance to this hotel is through a single door at the side of a bar/restaurant (though noise is not a problem), then up a twisty staircase to Reception. We stayed just as Covid restrictions had been lifted and the hotel had only recently re-opened with a skeleton staff, though they could not have been more helpful. Location is perfect for the station and the historic centre and though the hotel has no restaurant, there are some excellent ones on the nearby Borgo San Frediano.
Amazing and helpfull stuff. Clean rooms. Perfect direction. The ideal place to stay in florence, with famili, single or friends. Every places are very close to the hotel. Thank you for everything. And everything was perfect.
We stayed here on the first leg of our very special three stop holiday in Italy. It did not disappoint!! The staff were really friendly and spoke good English which was helpful because although we tried to learn some of the basics before we travelled we weren't very good! The room was so lovely and really beautiful with an antique feel that was so suitable to the olde world feel of bella Firenze!! The location was perfect! They listened to and kindly honoured my request for a bathtub. Breakfast was a continental buffet and was absolutely great. We lived this hotel and really hope to return some day.
This is a really lovely hotel. It doesn't feel like a corporate hotel, but more like a family run B&B. The rooms and the breakfast are very basic, but you can't fault them really for the great price. The staff are friendly too. Watch out for any events on in the square outside, as there was one night we struggled to sleep due to a loud event taking place. Other than that, the centre of Florence is certainly walkable from the hotel so you don't really need to get a taxi anywhere. Probably the best thing about the hotel was the coffee they served in the morning! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
All of the staff there were really friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the location is perfect. A word of note for those with heavy luggage, there are no lifts
The hotel is in a walking-distance of Ponte Vecchio at the edge of the Tourist Florence part. It's a bit difficult to find at first (mostly because GPS maps don't understand that you can get through the parking lot) but then it's easy to get to, The rooms were nice and clean and the staff polite and helpful!
The hotel is very quaint, with basic rooms and bathrooms. Very much what we signed up for when booking via booking.com but we did hope for a little more. For example, the advertisements say high speed wifi, this wasn’t the case at all. Super slow and very irritating. Breakfast was nice with fresh coffee and a variety of continental items but it was the same every morning. Some variety might have been nice. The room we had was clean and basic but could have done with a lick of paint. Location wise it’s a good 15 minute walk from the central rail station so be prepared to walk quite far if you have suitcases etc. as taxis are a joke. Paid 16Euro for 8min trip which was from the station to the hotel. A total rip off. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful with giving a map and pointing out where to go etc. they made our stay great. They offered to print our tickets for the bus to Bologna for no charge so a nice touch there. There is no lift so we enjoyed (not so much) carrying our cases up and down and staff not around to help with this so be prepared to do it yourself. All in all, a nice stay for a few days touring Florence but a few touches could make the difference from a nice hotel to a really nice hotel.…
I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly but kept to themselves. Location was great. It was out of the way enough from busy attractions that noise was not a problem at night but was still in a 10 minute walking distance to all the main sights. The room was clean and comfortable. The only negative thing I would have to say would be that the bathroom needed updating. The shower was very small and also looked like it had not been cleaned properly and everything was pretty dated. Very affordable and would stay here again.
First of all, the hotel is not so far from the train station, but then again, Florence is not so big, so everywhere is walking distance. it took me like 10 minutes to get to the hotel from the train station. First impressions when i arrived, I had to take my luggage up the stairs, which was a little of a turn off. At check-in, the owner of the hotel (or at least I think he was), was very polite and friendly, and we talked about many subjects. I was led to my room, room 24, and as I got into the room, it felt very welcoming. The room I had was very spacious, had a double bed, with a minibar (which was not so expensive), a wardrobe, and a tv. Although the room, I felt it a bit cold, especially at night. Also, at night or early morning I use to hear the noise of the tables being moved. The bathroom was also spacious and warm, and the shower was big enough (although the handle bar of the shower tap was way too big). The bathroom was provided with a hand soap, shower gel and some other things. The breakfast is located in the some room as the lobby. But in my opinion, breakfast was good. it contained cereal, bread, cold cuts, cakes, and pastries. All in all it was a good experience staying in this hotel. I would come again.…
