A lovely Italian style family hotel, big rooms with high ceilings, common lounge room with a balcony, great location close to the city centre and rail station, very comfortable and clean. Luggage storage available. Good value for money.
Spent 3 days. The owner is great, very friendly and helpful.
Pro: just minutes walk from almost anything in the center of Florence.
Lots of shops, local restaurants around

Right next to the Santa Maria Novella Firenze train station. In the center of a bustling community. Downside -- stuffy room, can't open the windows because of the city noise, dusty beddings. You are practically on your own as soon as the keys are given....More
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
