My partner and I stayed at Hotel Cestelli in December. Our stay here was perfect. As soon as we walked through the door we felt welcome and the energy of the hotel was beautiful. Located in the heart of Florence and super affordable we really couldn't have asked for more. Our room was clean and spacious and the shared bathroom...

I love this place. I remember that taxi queues were very long from SMN but as soon as I entered my room I was greeted by a lovely and warm ambience. This old palace indeed has character. My stay here made me love Florence even more. The owners, a lovely couple, were very kind. Asumi also helped me with my...

Great location in the middle of old town next to Arno river, this petite family hotel is very clean and comfortable. The owner is friendly and extremely attention to details (perhaps a little overboard). With only one bathroom shared with 7 rooms, I imagine u may need to wait around for it during peak summer time. Also this place lacks...

We visited this hotel early September 2016. Don’t let the vent smell in the building hallway get to you - once you enter and climb to the 2nd floor (no lift) you are greeted like family in a beautifully decorated hotel lobby (with no smell). Hosts Alessio & Asumi will show you everything you need to know on the map...

Part of a Thirteenth Century castle, the Cestelli has few frills, but it's very clean and the owners are wonderful. It's centrally located, in the middle of everything. Step out the door and you'll walk where the Medici did.

Guest house was down a little alley way and very centrally located!! We were greeted by the hosts and they were lovely! They explained that our room was not ready and allowed us to leave our bags before introducing us to florence, they recommended us to visit the other size of the river where we could get amazing views of...

This hotel has the perfect location. It is within a 10 minute walk of everything that you would ever want to see. It also off the beaten path of tourists which allows for a quiet retreat at the end of a long day. Check in was super easy. Both hosts were very friendly and knowledgable about the area. The only...

Located in the heart of Firenze Hotel Cestelli is a quiet little oasis. Here you can reach all the major sites within easy walking distance. Alfonso and Azumi are the best and loveliest host and very generous with their advice of what to see, best times to go, places to eat and places to visit outside of Florence. They also...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
