The owners were quite attentive to our needs and were there to advise waking routes and extra places to see. The hotel was quiet and clean. I have stayed there several times with family and enjoy returning.
3*? No way! Who gave it and for what??? 😱 Small hotel with to much noise. I stayed in room 1 close to the reception and the area where they provided breakfast/bar/whatever else. It's noisy from coffee machine and microwave oven (someone used it after 10 pm for 10 min. It also woke me up on Saturday morning at 7.30 am. Very annoying. Ppl coming by all time at the night u can hear everything. On the top of it is another hotel and the floor is very quirky, so I heard ppl walking and knocking by high heels and wheels from the suitcases. Horrible! Room was OK size, big enough for 1 person but no blanket in a bed,!!!! only some small carpets which I used both cos in October was very cold. Only one small pillow, so far from comfort. Cleaning is so so. Found long dark hair on my bed, disgusting. They didn't even put towels together. From amenities is only shower gel, so bring everything with u. Water was very slow to sink. My recommendations - skip this place. …
The hotel is just around the corner from the train station and very walkable to the main attractions in Florence (within a 15 min walk). The hotel staff was wonderful - when our shower was draining slowly and they couldn't immediately fix it, they moved us to another room to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Each person we met at the front desk was incredibly friendly and made sure we were happy with our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
So we stayed at this hotel as part of an intrepid tour and it was a standout for the accommodation type for our tour Why? A. Marco the manager and his Canadian wife: lovely people, fluent English speaking, friendly and made us feel safe and welcome. Helped get some laundry done for us , recommended a nice local restaurant for dinner just around the corner, and so on; B. Central and logistic location to get in and do the essentials in town. A hop skip and a jump from ...the leather market, the food market, the main shopping streets, the Duomo, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio etc and 4 mins WALK from railway station; C. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in room. This was a feature not afforded to us in any of our hotels in Rome, Venice, or Bologna but thanks to Marco and his wife it’s there waiting for you in Florence and it was Greatly appreciated by us (Aussie/English couple); D. Quiet. Fully sound insulated windows. Contrast our hotels on Rome and Venice which were really noisy at night. Would I go back if revisiting Florence? You bet.…
Hotel Ester is centrally located due to its proximity to the Duomo, Centrale Mercato, SM Novella train station, McDonalds, restaurants and shopping areas. It is clean and the front desk reception exceeded our expectation. They supplied us with a map to guide us with the points of interest. Marco, the owner and the equally nice ladies provided our needs during our stay. It feels like home. We had a pleasant two nights stay. We would stay again in this hotel the next time around in this beautiful city. Highly recommended.
I want to thenkyou Marco and the team because they provide me a friendly, clean, quiet place to rest; good suggestion on where having dinner; bagage holding and, most important for me, real attention to the guest (not just a customer). Please maintain this spirit. All the best and see you next time in Florence.
Upon reading all good reviews without hesitations I booked ahead of time, and the location is perfect~ walking distance to the station, and rooms is spacious, neat and tidy..cleanliness spotless..👍🏻comfy bed, high speed of wifi and with complimentary big bottle of water, And tons of bar and restaurant nearby, noodle shop down the building, and few minutes walk you will find all leather shops'.."make sure ask for discount "😂 I bought few leather bags with a reasonable prices..And Thank you to Pardis" not pretty sure if my spelling is correct" she's very lovely and helpful and informative..Thank you again..Definitely Highly recommended those who are looking a hotel to stay in Florence this place is perfect with a pretty good price..Thumps up
Room was great size, they served breakfast in our room. They even did our laundry for us. Located just blocks from the the main sites and quiet even though in the city. Marco & his wife (I am so sorry I forgot it) were amazing. She helped us so much and was so friendly.
Location is very good - very handy to station and leather market. Our room was small but clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and pretty helpful. The hotel is on one floor of a five storey building - other hotels are on other floors. Its also handy for the food market which has a really interesting eating area upstairs. Its also close to many types of restaurant and ten minutes walk to most of the tourist sites. Noodle bar next door is actually very good. On the downside, make sure you get directions as you could easily miss the entrance. We received good instructions from the hotel. I cant imagine which rooms have the views shown on the photographs.
Ester hotel is more than a 3star hotel with very clean rooms, good facilities, comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning and good hospitality, also ordered breakfast, . Location excellent 5minutes from train station and near Florence attractions. Thanks Marco and Pardis for everything.
