Firstly, when I booked this place online, I received an email from the management asking me what time I expected to arrive so they could meet me there. The email included useful information regarding location and travel links/ timetables, a good start. Stayed for two nights. Could not ask for a better location, in a little side street right next... We stayed here on two separate occasions during our trip to the Tuscany region. The location is excellent for visiting vote sites of Florence. Although the room is small it is very clean, comfortable and quiet. Our host Michela was wonderful, friendly and helpful. She always greeted you with a smile and it was a great way to start the... Bed and breakfast in the heart of the city. But in a quiet street so dont notice it.1 minute to duomo, and can walk everywhere in minutes.10 minutes from Firenze SMN station. The rooms are nice and quaint. Good shower, good breakfast, and only 4 rooms so get the key to the front door. I have to say that Elizabetta is the... More

We arrived in Florence after three very hectic days in Rome, and was looking to relax, we certainly chose the best place. Directions were very easy to follow, and we were met by Mikaela who offered to carry out cases up the stairs, not many and not too steep. Mikaela took us straight to our room, the pink room, which... I had a terrific experience staying at the Relais del Duomo while visiting my daughter who was studying in Florence. The room was comfortable, and had everything I needed--plenty of hot water and the water pressure was good. My room was spotlessly cleaned each day. Elisabetta and Michaela were wonderful hostesses, helping me with my luggage, providing a lovely breakfast... More

perfect location just 2 minutes from the Duomo, with exceptional hospitality from Elisabetha (one of the workers). the room wasn't big but was quite and was just enough for our needs. the breakfast was very good and i couldn't ask for more. Would go back there without thinking twice.

We stayed here for two nights and found the location to be perfect for exploring Florence. It is literally a thirty second walk to the Duomo but is in a street that is quieter than the proximity would suggest. We received a nice welcome from Elisabeta and found the room to be satisfactory for the time we were there, nothing... More

I stayed at this fabulous B&B for 4 nights at the end of November & I absolutely loved it. I arrived late in the afternoon by train & it was an easy 10 minute walk from the station. Elisabetta was very welcoming, providing tea or coffee immediately, maps, tips & information about the area in general. And then there is... More

A real gem of a Bed and Breakfast right in the heart of Firenze & seconds walk away from the Duomo. You couldn’t ask for a more convenient location to explore Florence, as it is also situated around 10 minutes walk away from the main Santa Maria Novella station. I must say Elisabeta was probably the most welcoming host I... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
