We enjoyed our stay at Portrait Firenze. As it was our first time visiting, we appreciated the central location and its proximity to the other side of the river to explore different neighborhoods such as Piazza Santo Spirito. We felt very welcome upon arrival, and we enjoyed the included breakfast (based on our room rate) each morning. We noticed a variety of guests staying there—couples of all ages, families, etc. Being a fan of Salvatore Ferragamo, it was v enjoyable to see the integration of the brand in the room decor, toiletries, and more. We had free access to the Ferragamo museum though ran out of time to visit it unfortunately. Our hotel card provided 10% off at various sister hotel locations, too, such as La Terrazza. Compared to other hotels where we stayed in Italy (also 5 star), Portrait offered the most pre-visit communication which was certainly a prelude to the high-touch concierge approach from all staff — (versus just one or two go-to concierge). Because we already purchased your tickets and planned excursions, we did not need to take full advantage of the concierge offerings; but it was obvious that if someone needed assistance planning or replanning their entire Firenze stay the concierge would 100% be able and willing to help. The only mild disappointment was that we could hear conversations of other guests through the main bathroom wall, and we heard a lot of slamming (doors? the room above? was unclear) at various points in the evening. That said, things seemed to quiet down at some point in the evening until the next morning; and we didn’t complain to the staff, as we chalked it up to the age of the building and part of the experience. The turndown service was good, and they provided a complimentary bottle of water each evening. In summary, we appreciated how welcomed we felt throughout our visit.

I could not recommend this lovely hotel any higher, truly nothing negative to say about it! Elegant, well-designed, incredibly thoughtful and hard working staff, excellent food and drink in their restaurant, and the LOCATION...it cannot be beaten!

We (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed for two nights this last March and felt cared for every minute of our stay, from the moment of check in, to seeing our breathtaking room and all the special details/treats/gifts they left for us, to reluctantly checking out, the staff hit it out of the park. Water bottles whenever we requested, extra pillows, help with reservations (even in other towns!), immediate response/fix to a slow shower drain in our kids' bathroom, excellent housekeeping, free little delicious biscotti cookies with espresso (sit outside at one of their tables overlooking the Arno River and with an unbeatable view of Ponte Vecchio bridge), even the shops nearby on their same street are great.

This is the sister property to Hotel Lugarno (also fantastic), which is pretty much directly across the river. I personally really enjoyed staying on the same side as the Duomo, the Plaza, and just a TON of great restaurants, shops, and sightseeing. Everything is within a 15 minute walk!
The rooms and overall design are a delight--every detail is done with excellence and a lot of thought, it feels more modern but still extremely comfortable when compared to Hotel Lugarno. The River Suite has a small kitchenette, ingeniously built in and tucked behind two large cabinet doors. It was great to have a small fridge, sink and the ability to make our own coffee etc. in the room.

Some favorite moments: sitting outside at a table sipping the most perfect espresso we’ve ever had, the breakfast buffet (pastries!!!) each morning, cracking the window open in our room overlooking the river and listening to the sounds of Ponte Vecchio and the bells from the Duomo, pre dinner drinks in the restaurant with my husband (we loved the bar snacks and Negroni!) and our wonderful, comfortable beds each night.

They went above and beyond to welcome our family and we are so grateful. Keep up the great work! You cannot go wrong book a few nights here, we can't wait to come back!

It is not my habit to leave reviews of this type but this time, I had to share my experience in Florence with others.
Me and my companion had the immense pleasure of staying at Portait de Florence, an exceptional experience from start to finish.

As soon as we enter the establishment, sincere and warm smiles, attention to detail from the staff which gives you this feeling of serenity. Speaking of the rooms, a taste of style, decoration that leaves you speechless, cleanliness of the rooms that leaves no doubt about the quality of the service.

During our stay, I noticed that the staff members paid very high attention to customer comfort. We were able to receive exclusive and personalized recommendations on the events taking place the weekend of our visit, but also a great proof of professionalism being the attention to our individual needs.

With attention to detail and luxury hospitality currently rare, the Portrait of Florence is a fine example of a renowned hotel where hospitality is perfectly mastered. We are grateful to have been able to live this experience thanks to the members of the staff who transformed a simple stay into an unforgettable experience.

If you are looking for a hotel where every detail of your stay is taken into account, don't hesitate any longer and go to Portrait de Florence!

The Portrait Firenze was the perfect hotel for our family visit to Florence.

The location is exceptional, a literal stone’s throw from the Ponte Vecchio, putting everywhere you want to visit within easy walking distance.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and have stunning views over the Arno and across to Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens. Linens, cosmetics etc. were all of the highest quality.

As part of the Lungarno set of hotels you get access to multiple excellent dining / drinks options. We spent a lovely evening at the roof top bar at the Continentale (just across the street), sipping cocktails as the sun set across the roofs of the city.

What makes the Portrait truly special however is their team. We were treated like family by every single person we interacted with. Nothing was too much trouble, from excellent shopping recommendations, to dinner reservations and even a get well card signed by everyone when our son took a tumble while we were out sightseeing. Special call out to Rafael - thank you for being so thoughtful with all your recommendations.

Tip - WhatsApp was a really easy way to communicate with the team, especially when we were out and about.

Thank you for a wonderful stay and I hope we can visit again soon!

Exceptional hotel! Carefully looked after in every aspect, with extremely professional and, above all, incredibly kind staff always ready to satisfy any customer request. The rooms and common areas are impeccably clean and fragrant, making your stay even more pleasant. The location is very convenient, the best shops and all the attractions are within 2 steps. I wanted to live this experience despite living nearby and I was truly pampered and spoiled by the staff and above all I saw the city from a new point of view. Congratulations to all the staff for a great job!

The hotel is in the heart of Florence which is an incredible plus as you can just go outside and see Ponte Vecchio. That is about what I think this hotel has in terms of good things.
We booked at a time when only a few rooms were available and at a pretty high price so we stayed in a Portrait studio. The room is very small and cramped with a table and chairs that didn't help with the cramped feeling. However, everything looked clean and the decoration is ok. Because our room faced the alley, we could hear the restaurants below early in the morning getting ready so the noise was on the heavy side. If you are not an early morning person, make sure your room doesn't face the alley.

We had one instance where we didn't want our room cleaned so we had the 'do not disturb' sign; however, that didn't seem to deter housekeeping from coming to our room. The sense of privacy was kind of destroyed by this situation.

Where we had most of our complaints is at their restaurant Caffe dell'Oro. The service was slow and not focused on the right things (i.e. cleaning or fixing empty tables vs helping customers). The food was not that good either in comparison to other restaurants around the area.

Grazie mille.
Our stay exceeded our expectations.
The service at the start of our stay (5 nights) was always perfect whatever the location, lobby, room, restaurant. It feels like we're staying with friends.
The hotel is very well located, close to everything.
Our suite was beautiful, large, nicely furnished, clean. The balcony overlooking the Arno was very pleasant.
The restaurant deserves a Michelin star, the quality of the dishes is excellent, the service is attentive, here too you are treated with great kindness.
Great luxury without ostentation.

The Portrait Firenze was absolutely exceptional. Before we even arrived, the staff was highly responsive and helped me plan our whole itinerary - including a very unusual request to find us a conference or hotel room of some kind when we were on a day trip so one of us could take an important conference call! The guides they arranged were kind, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. The hotel also made all of our dining reservations, which took that burden off of me! The entire staff from the front desk to the restaurant to the support staff were attentive and genuinely a pleasure to work with and be around! We were so grateful for the level of service, which made all the difference for our trip.

In addition to the people, the hotel itself was incredible. The location cannot be beat — steps from the Ponte Vecchio and an easy walk from anywhere you’d want to go in Florence. Our room was spacious (we got one of the suites but were accustomed to even suites in Europe being small — this was not!) and immaculate. It felt very clean and new.

We can’t wait to stay here again!!

We had the most incredible experience at Portrait Firenze. We received a survey a week before checking in, asking us detailed questions about our preferences from fruit to pillows to our temperature preference! Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by staff and served our favorite cocktails. We received a complimentary upgrade to our room with an incredible view because they knew we were there for a celebratory occasion. They also offered us a voucher for a free Vespa rental as well as access to an exclusive club for sunset cocktails - based on our preference of activities we shared with them! Check-in was an absolute breeze. The room we stayed in (103) was easily accessible, full of light and had direct views of the Ponte Vecchio and River Arno. Exceptionally clean and elegant! Spacious and well decorated, we felt right at home. We even had guests over for a drink with room to spare. The bathrooms were well equipped with everything you could need, including hot tools for hair! We were so impressed with the quality of the space and the service. Housekeeping memorized our habits and provided complimentary bottled water every night. We cannot wait to return to this wonderful hotel. Our favorite out of our 3 week stay in multiple cities. The Portrait has easily become one of our most loved hotels we have ever stayed. Stay here!!! Graziemille!

My family and I stayed at the Portrait Firenze for 4 nights in a River View Suite. Our stay was exceptional and at the end, we felt sad to leave what had become "our home" in Florence. You truly do feel you are part of the Portrait Family!

The location is iconic and unmatched by any hotel in Florence, the rooms are spacious, well thought out and the design elements transport you to a bygone classic Italian era.

All staff provide an impeccable level of service that is personalised, but not pretentious. We appreciated the efforts by all staff from check in to check out. Thank you to Sara and her team in reception and to all the staff in the restaurant (special mention to Sebastian – very high-level attention to service detail, who even provided a table for my handbag! and Caterina for her warmth and friendliness) and the Housekeeping/ Porter/ Bellhop Teams.

The Ferragamo Museum is a must see and provides further insight into the life journey of Salvatore Ferragamo and his family.
