Varinia and Edoardo are welcoming hosts with a wealth of information on Florence. The B & B is ideally located near the Boboli gardens, away from the noise and bustle of the areas north of the Arno, yet only a short stroll to the main tourist sites. (Our five year old son had no objections to the daily walks and...

Giglio Bianco B&B was our first stop in a three-week trip through Italy - and it was a great way to begin. Our hosts, Varinia and Edoardo, were wonderful - from preparing a fantastic gourmet dinner for two - to staying up past midnight to greet us after our long flight from Canada. The location was perfect - a short...

This B & B provided us a truly wonderful experience and now one of our favorite memories of our trip to Italy!! The room was comfortable and private and the bathroom was well appointed. Breakfast was good and more than enough. We enjoyed a cooking class with Varinia who is a fantastic chef. We had her 5 course dinners several...

We stayed here for a couple of nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The owners are charming and interesting with a great love of food and Florence. The building is full of character and filled with beautiful antiques and interesting objects and books. The room was also very nice. Really liked the quiet location behind a big door, away...

We stayed at Giglio Bianco for only one night but Edoardo and Varinia made such a good impression I have no hesitation in saying if you book here you won't regret it! We arrived in the pouring rain four hours before check-in and were welcomed immediately by Edoardo who put away our bags, made us tea and talked us through...

My wife and I stayed 2 nights. Varina and Edoardo were superb hosts. Our expectations were exceeded. We were very pleased with the comfortable room. Breakfast was wonderful. We had dinner, with 2 other guests one of the nights- the meal included an olive oil and a balsamic vinegar tasting. The appetizers and the main course and dessert were absolutely...

Stayed here for 2 nights and didn't want to leave! The room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Varnia was very welcoming when we arrived, making sure we got settled and oriented with Florence, answering any questions we had. Since there is only one other guest room, it is very quiet and private. The location is within walking distance...

Giglio Bianco is on the other side of the river from the "city center", but it is not a far walk from the Ponte Vecchio. The hosts actually live there and are totally available to you for everything. Very hospitable and gracious and informative. The rooms are pleasant, and computer is available to you at no fee. We enjoyed a...

As others have mentioned, even if the 2-room B&B is booked during your stay in Florence, definitely consider making a reservation for dinner at Giglio Bianco while you're there. The experience is in a world apart from any of the restaurants (all of which were amazing) we visited during our trip to Italy. The 5-6 course dinner prepared by Chef...

Florence is perhaps my new favourite city I have ever visited. A large part of that can be attributed to the wonderful experience my husband and I had while staying with Eduardo and Varinia at Giglio Bianco. For those who are planning their first trip to Florence, you can walk anywhere in the core of Florence within 20 minutes or...

“There are only two rooms at this Bed and Breakfast. Both are the same size with the same view... one is green and one is red. The red room has a DVD player, the green room does not. The red room's bathroom is probably a little nicer and the green room's bathroom was added post construction.”
