This was our first visit to Florence and my partner and I weren’t sure what to expect. On arrival at the Vespucci we received the warmest welcome and were made to feel at home immediately. From recommendations on where to eat, to tips on tickets for the museums, nothing was too much trouble. Complimentary beer, wine and Prosecco were a lovely touch as were the modern coffee machine, free WiFi and Netflix in our room. We stayed in room 8 (a corner room) which had a lovely balcony overlooking the river Arno towards the Ponte Vecchio. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet but bring ear plugs if you’re a really light sleeper as you will hear a little city traffic. We loved the traditional decor which is in keeping with the age of the building and location. Keep that in mind if you’re visiting as the room/building had a few quirks which were all part of the charm. Overall we loved Florence and would highly recommend the Vespucci which was within walking distance of all the major attractions and train/tram stations for the airport. Thank you Francesco and team for looking after us and ensuring that we had a brilliant experience in your beautiful city!…
The hotel is not a hotel, it is Home, we feel very good and we are welcomed as family members. There is free flow of wine, drinks, snacks. No breakfast but we have an excellent expresso machine in the room and in the living room. Alice and Francesco welcomed us as family members and were always at our service should we needed anything!. If you wish to stay in Firenze ,this is the place to stay and visit . we never used a car during our stay. We walked from the railway station and later we walked from morning till night.
A well presented room with an amazing view of the arno river. The room came equipped with coffee making facilities, tv, mini bar and a fabulous balcony with the aforementioned views. The staff were as friendly as they were helpful and the location was simply superb for all attractions, shops and the seemingly endless bars and restaurants. I would suggest the biggest compliment we can pay the Residenza Vespucci is that the next time we visit the beautiful city of Florence we will have no need to consider where we might stay.
Wanted something for a 50th walking distance to the centre but still with a view. This was just the right choice. The communication from the management were spot on and gave us a lovely room with a view over the Arno. Walking distance to everywhere you need and want to go , can't fault it.
This place was disgusting, starting with the rude front desk people when I asked for a minor disability accomodation. I've traveled a lot and have never run into such an absolutely offensive display of behavior from a hotel manager. With all of the beautiful places to stay in such an iconic area, stay somewhere they actually treat their guests with dignity.
This place was impressive even before I got there! Before I arrived i was greeted by the wonderful manager who messaged me via WhatsApp to introduced herself and to help guide me to the hotel. That was unexpected. I've never been WhatsApp'd by a hotel before but I was very pleased that I was because I was then able to get extra details on how to get from the station to the hotel, and then get help with loads of other things as well, like recommendations of places to go and eat/drink. The service and support was second to none, I really felt like a valued guest. Then I got the hotel (which is actually more a set of apartments with a reception). It was so well located! I could see the Ponte Vecchio from my balcony! And, of course the Arno, which is next to the hotel. The reception was a cool, classy place to spend time getting a coffee or cold drink (it also has a nicely stocked honesty bar) and nice and peaceful inside. The rooms were connected to the reception by some cool, atmospheric corridors. I loved that vibe. My room was a decent size and had some nice period pieces of furniture. From the hotel, everything is walkable and there are some good places very close by for breakfast and pre-drinks before heading into the centre of Florence (which is very close by). Florence is now one of my favourite places in the world and when I come back I would love come back to this hotel. Totally recommend this place!!…
My husband and I stayed here two nights. Short walk from the train station. Very unique property, in a perfect location - we were able to navigate the entire city on foot from our hotel. Francesco was super accommodating and helpful - offered us complimentary homemade limoncello upon arrival along with access to the full bar anytime. One afternoon we were out and about and realized we neglected to make dinner reservations. We texted him from the museum and he took care of it for us. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Great view of the Arno. And the dog Lappo is sooo adorable and friendly!
My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. Our break didn’t start well as the airline off loaded all passengers luggage without notification. On arrival we were put at ease with a very friendly welcome by the owner and his gorgeous dog. Our room was beautiful with an amazing river view from the balcony. It is in a perfect location with lovely restaurants close to hand. We would highly recommend a stay here and I would like to return soon with my husband.
This was our second time visiting the beautiful place. The owners make us feel like it's our second home. Walking distance to all sites in florence. Sitting on the balcony drinking coffee in the morning and watching the city come alive is truly amazing.
Terrible experience. Very very noisy, small and dirty room, which was supposed to have view to river Arno, but in fact it had view of the opposite building and part of river Arno. We stayed for 2 nights paying 200 euros per night. We booked there because of the expected view. I complaint for the room and no view and took the answer that there were no other rooms available and that our room had -according to the hotel manager- ''excellent'' view. The next day I saw that two other rooms with view straight at the river Arno were empty, and asked them to change our room so that we would have the room that we paid for. The answer was no! Rude and unacceptable behavior of the owner of the hotel. Don't stay there. There are plenty of rooms and beautiful hotels in Florence. Its a two star old property that doesn't worth your money. Stay away!…
