My wife & I stayed here during our stay in Florence last September, and it was outstanding ! We booked a room with a balcony, which I would highly recommend ! Great view of the river, the streets, it was great sitting on the balcony after a long day of sightseeing, having some wine, and just unwind and enjoy the...

I don't know why, but I love bathrooms. Thus, when they gave us a room without the great view over the river mentioned by other reviewers, but with an AWESOME bathroom, we didn't complain at all. The room itself was good, of course, with lots of space, tables, and, best of all, complimentary coffee and water. Would totally recommend!

Would definitely recommend staying at the Residenza Vespucci, the service and location is amazing! We had the best view overlooking the river. Complimentary bottle of wine which was very exciting! Close walks to everything around Florence, we didn't need to use public transport at all, only a taxi to and from the airport. The only disappointing thing was on Christmas...

From the moment we arrived, Francisco and Aurelia were the perfect hosts. They upgraded us to the beautiful premier suite since we were traveling for our honeymoon. The room was recently upgraded and was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a long balcony off the sitting room plus one off the bedroom that looked right over the Arno river....

Our double room was small with double aspect windows, one with a small balcony and the other overlooking the river. As the hotel is on the corner of a roundabout there was considerable noise not only from traffic but from people sitting around beneath the window. The bed, which was hard, was two singles pushed together. The drinks fridge was...

The place is much more than a hotel. While the decor gives you the perfect Italian feel, the balcony right over the Arno river is an awesome bonus. Sipping room-made coffee sitting in the balcony overlooking the beautiful bridge on the river is worth much more than the hotel costs you. The rooms are quite big by Europian standards, as...

The location on the side of the river in central florence is perfect, and not far from a good parking garage with car hire (cost 20 euro for 24hr). On arrival we were made very welcome by the amazing hosts. Our room was even better than we were expecting, and we were sorry to have to leave. As they were...

Situated on the Arno, Residenza Vespucci is such a great find ......the owner Francesco and his sister Aurelia were the most amazing hosts. The 2 of them ,along with Edo, made sure we had everything we needed....their recommendations for everything were bang on;taxi service, restaurants, salons...you name it, they had it covered. The great breakfast needs a special mention. We will never be...

This was by far our favorite to stay in Florence. You feel as if you have your own apartment in this beautiful city and its positioned in the perfect place. You're right along the Arno River and have easy access to all the landmarks and restaurants. The Duomo at night which is less than 5 min away was a recurring...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
