My husband and I and our 16 year old daughter stayed in this B&B for two nights in March 07 and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. The B&B consists of a single floor in a multi-floor building which you access by taking the very small elevator (room for two or only one with luggage)...

We spent four days at Sani Tourist House in October 2007, and found the accommodation to be excellent. It had all that we required - clean, comfortable, quiet, and very convenient, For those who travel with large amounts of baggage, or who have trouble with stairs, there is a small elevator. Located next door to Dante’s House, it is within...

We spent a few days at STH in july this year; the place is great and the host Remo had for us a lot of attention and he was very informative: restaurants, trains, tickets, museums..... The place is on the top floor (elevator available!!!) of an old palace in the medieval area, in the middle of all major monuments...Uffizi Museum,...

The location of the tourist house is fantastic..central, tucked away near to dante's supposed birth place and very romantic. However, we felt on eggshells around the easily ruffled owner. He hadn't recieved our confirmation by email for which we were blamed and he was hostile and aggressive. If you manage to escape this reaction however, I'd reccommend it as it is...

This is one of the best place I've ever stayed at. The location is just perfect, the room I was given was quiet, large, with fridge, tea and coffee facilities, nice bathroom. I liked the breakfast at the nearby pasticceria every morning, where they have wonderful focaccie and bread. I'll go again asap.

We spent a great week at the Sani Tourist House. The location was perfect for all the museums and churches as well as great restaurants and gelati. The rooms and building were exactly as advertised and the room was fine. Remo, the owner, was gracious and extremely helpful. We will stay there again. See our photos: Bargello is close and...

Beautifully located. Cheap. A few nice amenities. A really decent room. Air conditioning. Would stay again because of the location. Really convenient. Read his instructions about paying the day before you leave or run the risk of an altercation. I must say that after reading the other review about the owner's behavior, I am not surprised. Although I did not...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
