The Old Tower is a lovely and homely place to stay right in the center of Florence. It was great value for money and our host, Emilio, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room (room 2) was bright and cheerful and even had free internet access. I would definately recommend it to anyone.

Using the free internet in room 1 to write this review right now. (This perk has been greatly appreciated since our B&B in Rome cancelled and we had to rebook elsewhere, without internet in the room here in Florence we may have arrived in Rome with no place to stay.) This B&B is in a great location in Florence, right...

The Old Tower is a small B&B with 3 rooms, located in a 4th-floor apartment in the Tower. Brilliant location - about 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and right in central Florence. Just near Dante's house, so always some tourists around. Charming little venue - quirky decor. Spacious room. We stayed in the room with an external, private...

We were very pleased with our triple room. It was clean and comfortable and had a computer with internet access in the room. We were in the middle of town and within walking distance of every part of old town Florence. Emilio, the owner, was more than hospitable and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I...

My wife and I stayed at this location while sightseeing in Florence. This place is literally right in the middle of all the sights. We were able to drop off our rental car and walk to the location. (15 minutes walk) The owner of the B and B was very helpful and friendly. He gave us good suggestion for sightseeing...

We have just returned from 5 days in Florence where we stayed at the Old Tower (formerly known as Picaro Inn). The location is great - its really central so all the main sights are no more than 10-15 mins walk away. We arrived by train from Pisa and chose to walk from the station (Firenze SMN)- its about a...

I was in Florence this August with my girlfriend. We cannot think of a better place to stay in town than Peppe's great Inn. The price is great (we paid 60E for each day we stayed), the landlord is very welcoming and has put a lot of his effort in making his place as "confy" that you will feel like...

From the outside, this place looked like nothing, but inside, it was very nice, comfortable and most importanly clean! The owner was very nice and it was very easy to communicate with him. Spacious room and location was perfect. There was no terrace and b'fast was limited. We had pre-packed donuts, bananas and juice in the fridge. Overall, this place...

Everything was perfect/cool/nice,Great location (right next to Uffizzi gallery), clean, 24-hours breakfast and espresso coffee, good security, and REALLY helpful owners. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
