I would have given it a five if the room had been more cooler 😜 and have a bigger hair dryer. It is 4.8 stars! (To emphasize that it is near perfect). We stayed in another B&B just beside Salotto and transferred here on our third day in Florence. As usual, the hosts are perfect. Personalized service that makes me...

Salootto is located right in the center of Firenze and thus close to a great majority of tourist attractions. This can be good and bad. The convenience and adjacency to major attractions is certainly a big plus, which means a quick fresh-up in between of site-visiting. The downside may be the noises from the street. The facility is on the...

Brilliantly located, around the corner from the Domo, Il Salotto di Firenze offers fantastic value for it's large period rooms, as well as helpful staff and an inclusive breakfast. I couldn't recommend it enough for people who are looking for some something in between a hostel and a hotel.

Great hotel and very nice people running it! Only disadvantage is that the rooms face the Main Street so it's very noisy! Otherwise very clean and cozy! Recommended for whom noise doesn't bother them! It's locates right next to the duomo and everything is walking distance

Our family of five including three young adults found Il Salotto di Firenze PERFECT!! A friend who frequents the area told us about it. This location was a great home base for us. We were able to come and go walking to museums, trains, and unfortunately the hospital! The accommodations were clean and the breakfast to kick off each day...

The location and the owners make this B&B unforgettable. It is a clean and well-kept property with history. The building is beautiful. Alessandro is kind and attentive to all the guests. Location is key. Just in the corner of the Duomo and a 15 min walk to anywhere in town. Very helpful for all day city walks. It lives up to the promise of a bed and breakfast. Breakfast is basic but there is nothing important missing and everything is tasty and fresh. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. People on the...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
