Good hotel with large rooms and friendly staff who speak good english. The hotel is situated right in the high street of Firenze with the Duomo only one minute walking distance. The only problem was that the beds were hard, but that's up to what you prefer.

We stayed one night in this hotel - mother and daughter on a visit to Florence during our stay in Tuscany. This is a superb hotel to stay in when visiting in Florence! The location couldn't be better - less than 5 minutes walk to the Duoma!! Though it is very central we were not disturbed at all at night...

The hotel is in a perfect location, just steps from The Duomo. The staff, especially Francesco, were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I can say is that the breakfast selection was limited compared to other hotels in Florence. I would absolutely plan to stay here again.

Staff were exceptional and friendly. Breakfast was great. Room had some noise at breakfast but other than that it was perfect. The honor fridge system was a very nice way to get a quick drink. Location is more than brilliant i would and will stay here again. I would recommend to solo travelers and couples.

I read the reviews which said the rooms were hot and thought it must have been a fluke But take those reviews seriously. We asked and received a fan, but it was so inadequate They said the repair was coming Then he didn't have the right part If you don't mind sweltering in hot weather this hotel has a lot...

We picked this hotel for it's superb location. It is within 12 minutes walk from the train station and within minutes walk from the duomo and all the main sights in Florence. Unfortunately, we found that the sheets were not laundered properly. We found hairs in the bed and had to request new sheets. One staff member in particular was...

We were amazed how close the hotel was to the main attractions and to the train station. We were feet away from the Duomo so it was great to see all the people around. The owner of the hotel was really nice and they helped us with reservations and directions. Very quaint not luxurious at all but comfortable and location...

This hotel is perfectly situated. It is a super easy walk to the duomo, the Uffizi gallery and the academia. The rooms were large enough and comfy yet smaller beds. The bathroom was fine but caution! The shower is small but fabulous water pressure and temperature! The breakfast was good. Toast, croissants, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice. Francesco was fantastic...

We stayed for three nights in the hotel, and it was great. It is located only two blocks from the duomo, the rooms were large and very nice. The ac worked good, as did everything else in the hotel. The price was very good, but the best part was Francesco. He really went out of his way to make our...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
